Once part of the neighbouring Samuel Fox steelworks, Fox Wire could trace it's history back to 1842 and was he largest maker of engineering wire in the UK.
Sadly, not long after I photographed the plant, the company went into administration and closed down after 170 years, unable to compete with cheap foreign imports
