Fog Tonight...
A heavy fog descended upon the city and lingered here and there, mostly in the lower lying areas. it covered the ground with a misty wet blanket that made everything look like a scene from a fifties spy movie. .

... at this Farm, as we descend from the Singing Ringing Tree and head towards Holme Chapel near Burnley.
It was about time for me to take my camera, move my lazy butt and go out to capture some shots instead of endlessly looking at my archives (which is not a bad thing, I think). The photo group at my work came up with a photo assignement: reflections. That was my motivation. I live in a fairly small city in which the downtown area is limited to one main street, so I didn't have a lot of opportunities for reflections. I was looking for either glasses or water puddles. The weather (seriously cold) didn't help with the water puddles as all of them were frozen so I ended up taking a bunch of photos with reflections on windows. So this one was among the 2-3 that I would consider sharing as it has some elements of street photography (which I like). Happy weekend to all of you and stay safe!

Just spent the last two days in western Maryland and West Virginia ... up in the mountains. Here near Savage Mountain in Western Maryland ... the hoarfrost here was nearly 3/4 inch thick on the trees. The fog that covered the peaks in the mountains added to the wintry scene.
In the little ancient wood lies a little ancient bridge over a little ancient brook.
