i call this side of the house, "the winter deck," as it's the only part of the house that gets ANY sunshine in the winter... but it's becoming nice and green in spring.

Yes, I know it's officially Spring, but Winter still has its hold in the Sierra Nevada. This photo was taken near the top of Donner Pass through a wet windshield in February -- I expect conditions are snowier now with a major winter storm passing through this week.

Gotta love the change of seasons! It is supposed to be 2 weeks into summer, but this shot I took last summer is more suited to the cold and wet conditions we have experienced here in the past 2 weeks...

This is taken in the higher parts of the Central Tablelands near Oberon.

It is unfortunate that over the summer just past, a lot of the pine plantations have been logged from the higher parts...

I managed to find this though and really liked the mood portrayed by the mist through the forest.
