I uploaded this a few years back and wanted to upload a larger version. One of the best mornings of photography I've ever had. During a winter camping trip in the Mt Hood national forest.
This image was created using my most current post processing workflow. I just finished producing an instructional video which I illustrate how I use the powerful tools and techniques available in Lightroom and Photoshop along with the TKActions V4 Panel to achieve an incredible level of control throughout my workflow. i'm usually hesitant to post more than one photo in a day, but this duck in Calgary was not happy about how March 5 was treating him. The Canada geese are back in Calgary now, too, and probably wishing they had stayed south a little while longer.
Winter has arrived. I just went out and played instead of trying to go to work. The little one keeps me young and reminds me to take one day at time. Play and work later.

Winter Snow
Last Saturday was my only day out during the recent winter conditions that hit most of Scotland for a week. That day around the area turned out to be a day where I had a large hit rate in terms of number of images and quality of images than ever before..I think:)

This year the Canadian Rockies is warm and calm, with not much extreme ice formations, however, in this part of Athabasca river, ice and snow are still as attractive as previous years, and at a moment of super sunset, absolutely a winter fire-ground.

There were moments I sank into the snow so deep that the camera hung around my neck touched the surface of the snow. The mood came out of nowhere, wind blew the air with the scent of the sun, the colors smoothed the contours and I've started to understand why travelling alone fosters a desire to sing.
Momentami zapadałem się tak głęboko w śnieg że aparat zawieszony na szyi dotykał powierzchni śniegu. Nastrój przyszedł znikąd, nawiało powietrza o zapachu słońca, kolory wygładziły kontury i zacząłem rozumieć dlaczego samotne wędrówki sprzyjają chęci śpiewania.
