Hello Flickr Friends

It's a long time since my last visit and I would like to thank those of you who kept in touch with Flickr Mail for your messages, my Aussie friend especially:))

My husband was poorly for a while over the winter, first with a chest infection that just would not shift and then he got shingles which, also hung around for longer than it was welcome lol...

When things got less hectic I was back on my computer ready to go. But it had other ideas and decided to die on me completely thats life I guess! Alas poor 7 you served me well...

Did not have the funds to buy a new one straight away, so had to wait a wee while:) But now I am the owner of mac:) I have got it up and running, but after using windows7 for years it's going to be a huge learning curve so please bare with me.....

Le “Sette Sorelle” sono una serie di scogliere di gesso dal che si affacciano sul canale della Manica nell’East Sussex, tra le città di Seaford e Eastbourne e sono i resti di antiche valli di gesso, che vengono gradualmente erose dal mare. Le Sette Sorelle sono state spesso utilizzate nel cinema e dalla televisione come set per rappresentare le ben più famose bianche scogliere di Dover, dal momento che sono relativamente libere da strutture moderne. Sono inoltre presenti all'inizio del film Robin Hood il principe dei ladri, e alla fine del film Espiazione come il luogo dove Robbie e Cecilia avrebbero sempre voluto vivere. Sono talmente famose da essere uno degli sfondi predefiniti di Microsoft Windows 7.

The Seven Sisters are a series of chalk cliffs by the English Channel in East Sussex, between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne and they are the remnants of dry valleys in the chalk South Downs, which are gradually being eroded by the sea. The Seven Sisters cliffs are occasionally used in filmmaking and television production as a stand-in for the more famous White Cliffs of Dover, since they are relatively free of anachronistic modern development and are also allowed to erode naturally. They are also featured at the beginning of the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and at the end of the film Atonement where Robbie and Cecilia always wanted to live. An east-facing photo of the Seven Sisters is included as one of the default landscape wallpapers packaged with Microsoft Windows 7.

My Windows 7 desktop clock.

In eigener Sache: Weihnachten hatte ich den ersten PC Crash. Mein Mann erweckte den PC wieder zum Leben, aber im Februar stand die Kiste dann endgültig still. Besonders ärgerlich, weil ich so viele bewährte Programme auf dem PC habe, die einst viel Geld gekostet haben und die ich nicht einfach aufgeben wollte. Also hat mein Mann den PC in einem zweiten Anlauf komplett neu aufgesetzt. Adobe Photoshop CS6 läuft wie durch ein Wunder wieder, obwohl uns der Support dringend Upgrades empfohlen hat und eigentlich nichts mehr von Windows7 unterstützt wird. Von den Topaz Programmen habe ich im Moment zwei Plug-ins verloren, der Rest arbeitet wieder. Nik-Filter unter Google einst kostenlos - kosten jetzt wieder, aber auch hier konnten wir alle Plug-ins wieder kostenlos installieren. Ich gebe zu, mein Equipment ist ein alter Dinosaurier und ich weiß, dass viele von euch auf dem neuesten technischen Stand sind. Aber es bereitet auch Freude (und Leid), das alte, bewährte noch in Gang zu halten - wer weiß, wie lange mein PC durchhält.

A algún creativo le pareció curioso que aquí hubiera un pueblo llamado Sietes y aprovechó la coincidencia para el lanzamiento para España del nuevo Sistema Operativo Windows 7.

Sietes está formado por tres barrios: Perviyao, El Campón y El Pueblu.

I drove overnight to Palouse WA to take photos of the wheat fields. This is by far my favorite one :)
