Only fleeting moments of sunlight this afternoon by the time I got round to picking up my camera

when the light is just right, the shadows from the window grates look amazing.

Katerine Malette - Model Gold 1 - Montreal 2012

Siw lit by windowlight.

Overexposed to get a bit of a high key look. I really like this soft light.

This is not for many of my contacts. I like it. A photo shoot cancellation left me wanting to post something, and the perverse part of me began mixing a grunge texture from scratch. I took a quick shot of my mannequin head and truncated torso and did an experimental mix of gradients, textures, layers, and text. For my more conventional friends, thanks for indulging me :-)

Please don't feel obligated to comment. I am posting this as I have nothing else right now. Taken by windowlight as evening fell...long exposure. Once again, a Lensbaby image.

Ceclila in windowlight in my apartment yesterday. A dark and grey day in Stockholm, but we don´t care! :)

The Lensbaby affects all aspects of an image with its very strong personality. It really is a wonderful instrument.

View On White This cost me twenty minutes I should have spent in responsible work, but I consider it a step in my Photoshop education. Once again I used layers and a blend of two photographs.

Reposted, cropped a bit.

Window light.

Exposure adjusted. A brighter look

With both the kids are sick I didn't want to hassle them to much. Here they are playing on the bed enjoying the sun. Not the photo I wanted but I love the way he just adores his big sister!

A shot of the window in front of my house and catching light coming from back window and front with reflections. Cropped and increased contrast a little.

I've spent the last 5 hours trying to pick the one I love the most. I still don't know, but had to pick one for main.

My remote is not working, so self portraits are painful. This is my sister. She is beautiful.

I was just about to head out for a pint and thought, "Oo I like that light, gotta use it!"

One of many men helping us switch out flooring, move into the house, out of the Alaska house. Some expressed their dissatisfaction with my camera with awkward gestures. This chap did not.

But he did not pose. I just kept clicking. Moving is such fun.

Thanks for looking as I experiment. Hid this during a bit of anxiety; thanks again for the encouraging comments.

Window light and a black towel. Film feels so good. I just want to rub my face all over this shot. I used a different window to normal for this one. And guess what, it looks different, Ta Da!

Inspired by this incredible portrait

An old one from a couple of years ago. In fact this was the first shot that inspired me to start self portraiture. Viewing myself from my own perspective had this cathartic aspect that has helped me with many problems such as my anxiety and depression. My photography really is a part of my journey and a part of what keeps me going.
