erik's house in douglaston, 8:10am.

while running to the car this morning, i turned back to make sure the door closed behind me. i had my camera in hand because i was going to take a photo of the ice at the end of the block, but i snapped this one instead because that quick glance made me fall in love with erik's little stone & stucco haven all over again.

yes, it's old, drafty, possibly haunted and quite rickety, but it has such character :)

Repointing around the window frame made it all look new. Plus, a fresh coat of paint on the window frame freshened things up.

The last one from the wedding set...

Just a quick one today as it was very busy, and we had the music exam which needs a lot of kit setting up.

On one of the link corridors in work we got a great illustration of how strong the sun was today. There's an interesting section where an open window creates a small area where the light passes through two layers of tinted glass and so appears darker.

I hope it cools down soon!

With an air of nostalgia, she gazes longingly out the window, hand cupping her tilted head, lipstick applied, thinking about...?

You wouldn't believe the number of dragons that decorate The Forbidden City in Beijing. The five-toed dragon represented the Emperor, and they adorn everything. Even the windowframes.

The image of the angel is actually a needle felt my mother and I made last year to decorate a window, so it's really window sized.

January 2, 2020: I’m usually #not #one to post selfies, but going to try and post at least one #everyday in 2020 as part of a #personal #photoproject, photo 2/365.

I didn't have my tripod but I took a few shots while inside the saw mill. It had several windows and I liked this one the best (I actually didn't need to straighten this photo in PS!). I would have liked to use film and a large format camera as I would have liked more detail, but this will suffice.

Adjustments: cropped left side of wall slightly, slight level change to brighten trees
