Spending much more time at home these days, I've been practicing a little more macro as I am sure many are. With a recent cold snap last week, there was some ice on one of our windows which I thought captured some close-ups of.

Thanks for viewing and hope everyone has a safe, healthy and happy Easter!!

Happy Window Wednesday. Maggie was sound asleep in her little bed last evening and all the Christmas lights looked so pretty looking out through the windows.

Tiny, appearantly abandoned house at the Sanssouci Park in Potsdam. It's located near the Chinese House. At first I couldn't find any information about its purpose, and thought that it probably was used as an outbuilding back in the heyday of Sanssouci Palace (and the sign on the door said "Wache" [guard]), but now I know that this used to be the "Chinese Kitchen" for the Chinese House.

So vc poderia mander uma janela.

Taken at the Tate Modern, this is my first true composite (comprised of my own images) so any feedback would be very welcome. I've had a shot like this in mind for a while but I've yet to find a suitable window, so for the moment, faking it will have to do.

I apologise that I'm a bit inactive on Flickr at the moment, I do post more on Instagram (_benlockett) as I use Flickr as something of a portfolio so I only like to post my better images here. I'm also swimming in uni work which doesn't exactly help, so come summer I'll be more active:)

Happy Window Wednesday!

My first entry to smile on Saturday, THINGS WITH WINGS.

Works perfekt in German but not as good in English.

A rather elegant apartment block. Seen on my wheelie walk around town.

My eye was immediately caught by the lovely, yellow Sunflowers peeking through the panes of this window in Lacock village, Wilstshire, UK. Sunflowers are always so cheerful, like miniature suns on earth!

This is the large window of the Great Hall at Trerice. It contains 16th century glass and 576 window panes. I wouldn't be too enthusiastic about having to clean them ...

This venue is PERFECT! It's downtown, within walking distance of such fine things as Powell's Books and The Compound (art gallery/re-ment/Japanese toy/shoe store place). You may also easily catch a bus to another part of town.

Those of you who are flying in can catch the MAX at the airport and ride all the way downtown.

trimet.org/schedules/maxredline.htm

We will be putting together a Tri-met how-to for those who are curious about our public transportation. :)

There are hotels near the airport, by our convention center, and downtown, all near the MAX. Easy peasy! If you stay downtown, you can even ride the streetcar to Venue Pearl, and guess what? FARELESS ZONE! We are looking into blocking out some rooms in hotels on the streetcar line.

Plus, this place has plenty of room, light, and they only book one event at a time, so we can dork out has hard as we want. Oh, and this venue supplies tables and chairs, so everyone will be comfortable. :)
