Will I once again comb my tresses in the wind?
Will I once again plant pansies in the garden?
And put the germaniums in the sky of the windows?
Will I once again dance on the cups?
Will the doorbell once again take me to the expectation of the voice?
Poetry of Forough Farrokhzad
Translated from Persian
i will hear that number on the radio and
visions will pass through my brain
interpolating into the melodies
capsules in time
and if you call i will surely answer
—be it twenty years after we part—
i will ask you about that time and
we will laugh again,
you will remind me of what i used to know
i will think of you, fondly,
always
old friends - rhett burke Mar 23
(An old SL friend, NoElle dropped by unexpectedly to see me, so I invited her to stay in one of the guest cabins at my Teddi Towne parcel. We had so much fun playing volleyball on the beach, and dancing with Erebus and Seth who dropped in for some Xmas cheer. Friends are the best distractions.)
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Old wooden utility poles are a bit of a sore point here in Northern California, where our service provider has admitted their faulty electrical equipment and poor maintenance have caused the wildfires in the past few years.
Will this be a Christmas card? The Grinch always surprises. Maybe deep down he longs for companionship after all.
How precious how lovely
Are your thoughts oh Lord toward me
How truly amazing
Is the grace that you have shown
Oh majesty I live to see your face
I will search for you
And I will find you
I will find you with all my heart
I will lift my hands to you in worship
And I will worship with all my heart
How gracious relentless
Is the Father's love toward us
Breathtaking the beauty
And the radiance of you
Oh majesty I live to see your face
And be transformed
Into your image
Oh majesty I live to see your face
And be transformed
Into your image
Oh Oh I will worship you with all my heart
Oh Oh I will worshio you with all my heart

"We will love and live together, fight and struggle. We will defeat the odds set against us and those that doubt us. We will eat, drink, make love and argue, but we will breathe and feel the joys of our gift to each other, and that is a sacred thing that no one can divide." - Jack

EN: On this November morning, the Bernina Pass showed its most beautiful side. After a few cold nights and some snowfall, the landscape was covered with a fine layer of white powder, but the lake was not yet frozen. Soon, however, the temperatures will be below zero long enough and the lake will slowly but surely freeze over completely.
For me, both the weather and the used vehicles were reason enough to make the long trip to Bernina Ospizio and walk along the lake. With the upcoming timetable change, the ABe 4/4 III will be withdrawn from the regional trains and will only be used in front of the tourist trains between St. Moritz and Tirano.
The original image is composed of 20 single shots and was assembled into a large panorama of about 200 million pixels using Adobe Photoshop.

"Pretty woman walkin' down the street
Pretty woman, the kind I'd like to meet
Pretty woman, I don't believe you, you're not the truth
No one could look as good as you
Mercy
Pretty woman, won't you pardon me?
Pretty woman, I couldn't help but see
Pretty woman, that you look lovely as can be
Are you lonely just like me?

EN: Soon the dark wintertime in Switzerland will be over and the bright colors of the blooming meadows and the fields will lift the mood again.
Deep in my archives, I found this picture from days gone by. On May 7, 2008, the oldest generation of railcars ever to run on the Zurich S-Bahn was still in service right outside my front door. The here pictured RABDe 12/12 or RABDe 510 multiple units represents the beginning of the S-Bahn service. As the first line, today's S7 from Zurich via Meilen to Rapperswil was operated with a tight interval timetable (one train every half hour). In order to be able to serve the many stops on the mostly single-track line at that time, high-speed vehicles had to be procured. SBB received these in 1967 in the form of these 3-part compositions, which could be used very flexibly in multiple tractions. With the introduction of the S-Bahn in 1990, the trains were also used on the rest of the S-Bahn area and were most recently used on the S16 between Thayngen and Herrliberg-Feldmeilen before they were finally returned to the material cycle and came to an end in 2010.

Passing by Union Jct, I saw East Hump had an approach medium to come off the Cutoff. Checking ATCS I saw that a UP move was lined to go the Old Way at St. Anthony to the cutoff so I headed for Snelling Avenue to see if there was a shot 20 minutes after sunrise. Fortunately by the time they came into view the scene had opened up enough to let some light in. A pair of EMDs head for the Belt Yard at 0600 hrs with another short transfer.
