Why bother I wonder shooting film when becomes a digital jpeg after all?
The prints are so much better than the CD scans. Keepers are few, and gems fewer even with prints.

7 of 9: Why?

Heading back to February of this year when I took a trip out to Vegas for our @photofocus writer's retreat and one morning when we headed out to Black Velvet Canyon for some photography therapy. Morning sun makes for great backlight and well nature takes care of the shapes of things.
After a night of Astrophotography it was lovely to watch the pre sunrise light play across the landscape with the valleys filled with mist. I can't imagine why they were would build a stone circle here :-)

The Dutch usually react kindly when they realize they are being photographed. Sometimes I'm asked curiously why I'm doing it.
I had some unpleasant experiences in certain places in Germany.
Note: The fries at Dapp taste excellent
This iconic red telephone box is under threat inside the kiosk is a notice from BT saying they are going to remove it because it is not being used. There is also another notice saying that the phone box is not working that is why it is not being used!! Whatever becomes of this I hope when I make my return this way the box will still be here. If not then this may become a historic picture. It was still there in July 2019

Mystery Dance - it said on the radio this weekend that the RSPB was part formed in response to GCGs being almost wiped out for the milliners trade - fortunately the demand for hats is now restricted to posh gels at Ascot and those decorative head wounds favoured by mothers of the bride - I think the technical term is a fascinator (fascinating why someone would want to look a prat in public?)

An east coast low brought heavy swells to the Sydney coast in early April, 2025, providing some great surf at Dee Why point. In the background are 6-10m waves breaking off Long reef. I took this handheld with the EF70-200mm f/4L and the 1.4x teleconverter.

Today I was thinking of the theme for Flickr Friday so I took a shot of my home office window looking out and then abstracted the photo........WHY NOT????
I thought that full was something better
Detestable is how it feels

Was it a poison actually
There to trap me？
Now that's something you do not see every day !
Not sure why they were having a confrontation. Osprey are fish eaters, would not be disturbing red winged blackbirds .

This winter season has been so busy, we've had all types of weather from hurricane force wind to calm days with blue skies, no two days have been the same.

Poor Cinders; it appears the ugly sisters are going to the ball, leaving you at home to scrub the dishes and sweep the floor. Will my handsome Prince ever appear, or is this just a fairy story?
