Blog: Why don't you sit down and relax?
Photographer & Model: Sungyoung Jang (JangSungYoung)
Yes. Why? For more fav stars? Because people think their work is oh so great that the whole world should have seen it? Because they think others have nothing better to do than seeing their stuff again and again? Maybe you people can tell me why...
All I can tell is it annoys me more and more.
OK, that's my ranting for 2016
...hang their heads out the window anyway? 😉 Photographed on Richmond Street West in Toronto, June 9, 2021. Processed in PS.

615. Tight budget? Funds ran low? I just don't understand why this shack sits upon the top of the atrium at the Gaylord Hotel and Resort in Nashville. This Hotel and Resort is absolutely magnificent. The hotel encircles one of the most beautiful atriums that I have seen and such a pleasure to stroll through. Most folks probably wouldn't notice this shack that rests high above them, but here it is. Why on earth would any architect design an outhouse on top of something so beautiful. It's like a rotted maraschino cherry in your Manhattan cocktail, or a dead fly in your vichyssoise. Why? Pentax.

Saw this magnificent pair of sparkly shoes in a parking lot on the edge of the James River where we attempted to get down to the river. That never happened due to certain obstacles, (although Anita managed to find a hole in the chain link fence and trespassed on railroad property which resulted in an awesome train shot!) but these shoes happened and they made me smile due to their brilliant sparkling abilities and I do love me some sparkle! LOL

Why don't you come on over, baby
And lay by my side?
Why don't you get undressed for me, baby?
Read exactly what's on my mind
Give me your kiss now, baby
You know I've waited for so long
It don't have to be right now, baby
Whoever said it was wrong?
So come on over to my place
I need love in a bad way
But I've been so lonely
Without you to hold
So why don't you come on over, baby?
Lay right here by my side
Why don't you get undressed for me, baby?
Read exactly what's on my mind
"I can no more think of my own life without thinking of wine and wines and where they grew for me and why I drank them when I did and why I picked the grapes and where I opened the oldest procurable bottles, and all that, than I can remember living before I breathed."

Why bother I wonder shooting film when becomes a digital jpeg after all?
The prints are so much better than the CD scans. Keepers are few, and gems fewer even with prints.
Just must, I suppose.
I am occasionally asked why I like hill walking so much. After all, as people point out to me, you can get very cold, very wet, very tired and very lost. And there is always a degree of risk involved.
All this is true.
I have been very cold, very wet, very tired and very lost.
But I still love it.
I love the quiet satisfaction of getting from A to B with nothing more than a map and compass.
I love the fresh air.
I love the quietness.
I love seeing the wildlife.
I love the hunger that a day on the hills brings, and the fact that the food tastes so much better.
I love the thirst that a long walk brings and there’s nothing better than to sit in a nice warm pub, with a pint of good beer and let the ache of tiredness waft over me.
But most of all, I love it because I get to see scenery like this.

Heading back to February of this year when I took a trip out to Vegas for our @photofocus writer's retreat and one morning when we headed out to Black Velvet Canyon for some photography therapy. Morning sun makes for great backlight and well nature takes care of the shapes of things.
After a night of Astrophotography it was lovely to watch the pre sunrise light play across the landscape with the valleys filled with mist. I can't imagine why they were would build a stone circle here :-)

Whenever I need you my dear
I find you always near
Thats why I love you..
Whenever we meet
With love you greet
Thats why I love you..
You always look so lovely
And you are so cuddly
Thats why I love you..
You are the apple of my eye
For me, the perfect guy
Thats why I love you..
Our bond is so great
No one could make us separate
Thats why I love you..
You made so many sacrifices
And without regret you paid the prices
Thats why I love you..
End this relationship you will never
I know that you will go on loving me forever and ever
Thats why I love you...

Southwest architecture, which I've always admired, seems to lend itself to textures and "painterly" treatments - a whole new area to explore....
Just...why?

This is not by any means a "staged shot", and I had plenty of this to choose from. I may have just given this bottle a nudge with my boot, for the purposes of composition. Like you do...

Why couldn't we give peace a chance? This 60's symbol of peace had so much hope back in the day, but much like this warped and tarnished symbol, peace remains illusive. It may be easier for many people to hate rather than to love, but I have seen the power of love, of faith, of forgiveness, and reconciliation enough times to know that peace is the better choice.
