A type of printer that utilizes a laser beam to produce an image on a drum. The light of the laser alters the electrical charge on the drum wherever it hits. The drum is then rolled through a reservoir of toner, which is picked up by the charged portions of the drum. Finally, the toner is transferred to the paper through a combination of heat and pressure. This is also the way copy machines work

I love the total simplicity of this type of image.

RONIN wrote and designed up this 'Wight paper' for Oliver WIght EAME.

I took oil cloth and backed it with cover stock and lined it with handmade Chinese gold printed paper. The signatures were made up of several different colored paper stocks including tracing paper. I bound it using high quality red Irish linen binding thread. The final book size was approximately 3.5" x 5.5".

A sneak preview of our campervan which will be touring the district on 11 and 18 May. Climb aboard the bus to give your views on how you want to get involved in planning your local health services and what you want from the NHS in future. Find out where and when you can catch the bus.

Oliver Wight asked RONIN to develop a logo for their cleverly named 'Wight paper series.'

On Wednesday 23rd November Students at Cambridge University disrupted at talk by David Willetts, the Minister for Universities and Science, entitled "The Idea of a University". They used the "people's microphone" to broadcast their view of the higher education white paper and the future of universities, preventing Willetts from giving his speech.

Interesting tempest idea (though solved), "how do you shield keyboards or other EMF emissions from computers" so they cannot be detected passively? posting to DrKarl (ABC Science).

@bootload Keystroke sniffing? I think that a Faraday Cage would block electromagnetic emissions from the keyboard.

then

@bootload A Faraday Cage would (I think) block all electromagnetic radiation from leaving the computer/keyboard.

This paper suggests it could do the trick, "Electromagnetic Attack: Is Your Infrastructure and Data at Risk?" ~ www.sans.org/reading_room/whitepapers/threats/electromagn...

Interesting that the paper suggests:

"... or very delicate or sensitive electronics, Faraday shielding may be appropriate and it can be highly effective. Faraday shielding involves placing the equipment to be protected in a fully enclosed metallic screen room or electrically conductive enclosure. All openings and doors to such a Faraday cage must be properly gasketed with conducting seals and care must be exercised to insure cables entering the room are properly shielded and grounded as mentioned above. A properly engineered and constructed Faraday shield, RF cage or conductive screen room will safeguard electronics within because externally generated electromagnetic fields that could cause damage cannot penetrate it. The mechanism involved is the same as the one that keeps occupants relatively safe in an occupant safe in an automobile or aircraft struck by lightening strike ..,
