Flat calm day... perfect visibility, the sea like silk of various textures shaped by little wafts of breeze. This whalewatch boat is a catamarand and we were going 35 knots when I took this.

 

I like "slow food" as Greg Brown sings in his song. I'd rather take hours to get there and then poke around, but the latest whale watch trend, is get them out fast, show them some whales then get more people.

 

There is a terrrific naturalist on this boat though and he made it all worth it.

The end to a perfect day whale watching a spectacular sunset from our cliff! Having seen 4 species of cetaceans from 'Fluke Jewellery', porpoise, Minke whale's, Risso's dolphins & a pod of 7 Orca's.

It doesn't get much better than this...
