Canvas board for the week 34 class. I omitted the supporting animal as I feel I need to stand on my own two feet. I added metal charms to the tree to represent things that are meaningful in my life. The three balloons say 'just let go' which is a message I need to hear particularly in relation to forgiveness.
Week 08 - Love Bugs!
Well....for some reason I seem to always be in the right place with my camera when animals are getting 'at it'....especially with bugs and beatles. I forget the name of these little guys but will find out again. Taken at Melbourne Museum.

Fleet Week, San Francisco, 2011. Taken near the Golden Gate Bridge. The fog lifted just half an hour to 45 minutes before the Angels flew. But we missed photo opportunities people in other micro-climates in the city took advantage of.
STEAM Week at Washtenaw Community College kicked off Monday, Feb. 3 with keynote addresses by Vice President for Instruction Dr. Kimberly Hurns, WCC alumna and entrepreneur Aisha Bowe followed by a career carousel and STEAM scavenger hunt, and an engineering and construction partner challenge.
National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6, also known as National Nurses Day, through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, who is considered the founder of modern nursing.
To help say mahalo to all of our nursing staff and to highlight the important role they play in healthcare and the Army, Tripler held a number of educational, training and social events throughout the week.

"The view from here." I was sitting outside while the kids were playing. My neighbor was washing his boat and I couldn't resist his boots. They "keep his toes warm."
The sentence above is “Love is how you stay alive, even after you are gone.” which is from Mitch Albom’s Tuesday with Morrie written in 1997. I think it is talking about after someone dies, if people miss him and keep him in mind, he would just like still living in your surroundings.
In my design, the long beach represents life. There is an old man walking alone on the beach, meaning that he is still alive. Beside the footsteps he leaves on the sand, there are some woman’s footsteps, which might be belonged to his dead wife. It means even his wife is already died and cannot stay with the old man physically, her spirit is walking along with him. The woman’s footsteps are in grey because they are only shadow, and they only exist because of the old man’s love for his wife.
The sky is in orange because it is during the sunset, which implies the old man is experiencing the later stage of his life. Also, it helps creating a blue but warm atmosphere.

My goal this week was to open up my camera manual, read about my camera, learn something new, and then apply it to our photo session. (I am one of those people who attempts assembling things without reading instructions to see if I can do it on my own.) Instead of putzing around like normal I learned how to change the filter and tone effects on my camera.
Sita's goal this week was patience when in the presence of "cookies." This was a very difficult task because Sita has a habit of throwing her entire resume of tricks at you if she even suspects you have a cookie. Until today I never knew she made Scooby Doo cartoon faces when she does her "speak" command. Most of my pictures of this trick were blurry. I am going to have to catch her exagerated "speak" for one of these weeks.
Luckily, while we both may have been far from perfection, we captured a moment that fulfills both of our goals. Above is a Sepia toned Sita focused quietly on "stay." I think I may be able to see the reflection of the cookie in her right eye. :)
MED Week celebrated a new addition to the Uptown business district with the grand opening of HypeSquad Designs, LLC in the City's Small Business Co-Op Space at 415 Evans Street on Thursday, September 23.
HypeSquad Designs, LLC, founded in 2017, creates original custom apparel, art, and stickers inspired by music, sports, arts, and travel, with the occasional parody of iconic marks.
