Theme of The Week - Against the Rules
Don't center your subject, don't have a busy background, don't cut off body parts
"Home is a shelter from all sorts of storms."
Week 3/52
Growing up, I always found comfort in my books. I would read for hours, always taking me to a new and exciting place. I was never bored, there was always another book for me to dive into. Although it feels like I haven't picked up a book in ages, I have always felt more comfortable in solitude than in large crowds. I usually like to shoot my self portraits alone as well, it's more of a transformative process and a way to center myself again.
This is my week three image and boy was I sitting on this for two days too long. Trying to get all the books, candles, and kitty just right drove my inner perfectionist insane. I still feel as if it's not done, but I'm trying to see this 52 Week project as a way to let go.
So here it is.
Also, check me out on Facebook. I tend to post things there first and usually more images to a series. Like my page to keep up to date with what I'm doing!

Take 10% off in my store all this week! Code: ROIDWEEK
I was hoping to get out and about and take a photo of a fantastic looking ceiling but I've been out very little this last week. Also the weather hasn't helped - solid
grey sky - hate them. This will have to do. This is the Ron's Hide at Lee Farm Lake. Basically it's a wooden shed. It's a bit better than a normal shed. It's lined with plywood as you can see in the photo. It does have seating and as it's restricted to members only, it does not get too busy.
Sorry I've been very busy this week, I've only been sleeping about an hour or two a day, if I get to sleep at all.
This is just a rushed photo, I'm so sorry T_T It doesn't have any significance or look interesting or anything.
I'm tired and I need a break =(
I messaged the impersonator and the website which the impersonator is posting the photographs but I have not heard from either one of them. This kind of sucks.
I don't think it's fair to steal my photos, calling them photos of you, saying you took the photo, you did the post processing. I feel like posting the person's link here but ah >< nevermind. Oh well.
Credits to ISOstock for the smoke.
both these snowy views were taken a few weeks ago but as they fitted the challenge I thought I would cheat :)
Inspiration: #NoFilter
No limit on what you shoot this week, as long as the image is pure. No filters, presets or other edits. Basic exposure corrections only this week.
The Empire State Building as seen from Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City Queens. Lit up for NYC Pride Week 2014.
This is the enormous stained glass window behind the altar of the church I attend. During services the sunlight streams through the colored glass and illuminates the sanctuary with a warm glow.
Nothing like walking through the woods in the winter with fogged up glasses when you're manually focusing your camera. :| 6/52

Wow....made it, just barely!!
My favorite wine I originally chose because I loved the label and the name, Apothic Red. Now they've come out with a new blend and imagine, I only found it this week, just in time for week two. It's perfect.
Mind you, the photo, technically, is not.....not enough time, too much in a hurry. It was the perfect candidate for a texture, which I did for the Outtake just to see.
K.....must go and crack it open now. :)
Week 3 : My Happy Place.
It's not where you walk, but who walks with you.
Exploring Kairakau Beach with my four legged mate.
It's been an interesting week. We leave for Cozumel in 2 days, my bf decided to rip out the carpet out of the just recently moved in house. Never a dull moment.
Year X Week 47 17-24/11/19
Still on some of my favourite shots from this year for my shot a week. Here's one of Larkin Poe, excellent roots/blues/rock band originally from Georgia. The sisters put on one heck of a show during the Singapore grand Prix this year, and I became an instant fan. More soon.
Agnes, Bruno and Eva on an evening walk. The weather has turned, the snow is gone, and evening walks are getting longer.
No dogversation this week, just 3 dogs and 2 humans on a walk.
Theme of The Week - Panorama
yesterday it rained all day.
today, got up early, drove out to the country, went home & discovered that I didn't like the pictures even though I looked at them there (!), got mad, tried to use my panorama stitching program to stitch them together anyway, it was expired, found another free one that I liked, drove back out to the country, reshoot, go home, try to stitch them, too little overlap on one side, have to do it manually in photoshop... other than all that drama, I think it turned out ok
Work in progress
Street repair has started this week and is supposed to last 2 weeks, we'll see!! Meanwhile dust is everywhere and the windows will need a good washing when construction will be over
This is one of my most prized possessions. My son Evan made this sign when he was about 10 years old (he's 30 now) and I cherish it. He did it on his own with some help from his older sister and gave it to me for Christmas.
"Those boys play for keeps."
I was five years old and wanted a bag of marbles of my own so I could play with the neighbor kids. My father finally relented with the warning, "Don't come crying for any more if you lose them." Happily, I ran off with my small bag of marbles.
Later, when I came home empty handed, he started to give me the I-told-you-so talk.
I said, "It's okay, Dad. I just need a bigger bag to bring home the ones I won."
and that's my marble story
