I was hoping this would turn out a lot better than it did, but I guess that leaves room to improve. I also learned a lesson, always plan ahead and prepare, etc. yeahyeah.
This photo has such a story. Doesn't look like very many books? Try carrying them up and down your house in a basket and dumping them 300 feet from your house. This really didn't turn out how I wanted, I wanted the sun to be shining. We didn't really realize how much time it would take to set up and how early the sun would set. Maybe one day I will re-do this, because I'm not very happy about it. This is inspired by a dream of a friend of mine, I'm not going to name that friend. So.
oh and if you didn't infer I'm starting a 52 weeks project, wish me luck!
Back from a great trip to Iceland. Amazing landscapes, a truly beautiful country. After starting out in the rain, the weather cleared later in the week and our patience was rewarded with a spectacular light show!
Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon - Iceland
Love this beautiful view from up at Tower Ranch. This is just up the hill from where I live in Kelowna, BC. Located in the heart of the Okanagan’s Wine Country, Tower Ranch overlooks the stunning Okanagan Valley. :)
A little red bird cage
Thank you Zack for the wonderful testimonial! He's a great photographer and a super awesome person so go check his stream out!
Homemade scones with raspberry jam and clotted cream, and a mug of red bush earl grey tea.

This week subject: Water.
OH GOSH. I AM NOT CROSSED-EYES! XD
On air: The Lion's Roar - First Aid Kit
Week 44:52 Reflections (Oct 28th - Nov 3rd)
----------------------------------------------------------------
In the local pharmacy today to get a flu shot and my brother has a birthday coming up this Friday, so I was getting a card...
with mirrors everywhere in the store, it was filled with reflections.
Thought I'd throw in an angle shot as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------
This would work for the creative selfie theme a few weeks back.
self portrait, natural light
I promise the next shots will be more creative (at least a bit)...
if I continue uploading at this rate, I'll need a pro account soon... =/
I'll have to be a bit more selective

A rare occurrence this week with an actual picture of me (!) and Paddy & Smudge . A few days lightweight camping with a friend in the wilds of the Scottish Highlands (hence the photograph!). Cool nights in a lightweight sleeping bag but no bother for me with two hot dog water bottles :) Paddy throughly enjoyed that ... I daresay with Smudge it was a toss up between the 20km a day walkies, the red deer blarting outside the tent at night, the red deer running across the hillsides in great numbers in visible daylight and the dad cuddle ... I daresay it was probably the deer ! (in the photo you can see he was in his constant 'deer spotting mode' :)) [Oh .. and I'm not wearing a kilt .. just shorts! :) ]
The racing during Cowes Week viewed from Gurnard Beach Huts. I tried to use the ominous rain cloud looming overhead to really add to the composition of this shot, with the beach huts making the location instantly recognisable.

You would not believe your eyes
If ten million fireflies
Lit up the world as I fell asleep
Cause they fill the open air
And leave teardrops everywhere
You think me rude, but I would just stand and stare.
So the dog days of summer have finally arrived here in Michigan, Its so incredibly hot during the day but by night its almost impossible for me not to go sit outside and watch the lightshow of fireflies accompanied by the symphonies of cricket chirps. The true beauty of Michigan is the only thing keeping me sane this summer. I really do miss my friends in Reno, I left my whole life there to begin a new one here. I know though in the end everything will work out wonderfully so I cant sit here reminiscing for to long.
I really want all of you who are following my flickr to know that without your supportive comments and messages I wouldn't have nearly the ammount of motive and passion for this wonderful hobby of mine. Thankyou so so much and I love all of you with every ounce of my heart.
I would also really like to thank all of you who voted for my pictures in Ron Howards Project Imagination competition because without you I wouldnt have been able to become a finalist for the I can't thank you guys enough times to express my gratitude towards you.
More In Comments From This Week!
Well truth be told, I don't have any fictitious figures lying around the house. I looked just about everywhere and nothing. My friend Helen is hosting the Macro Mondays group this week so I wanted to come up with something for the theme. I decided it was time to widen the search, my son Daniel happened to be home so it was time to see what he had. Well Daniel has all kinds of fictitious action figures that come as models and he assembles. Both my son's grew up in the war gaming world, my one son designs them for a living and Daniel enjoys putting them together. I chose Unicorn, a derivation of the original Gundam, a little warrior ready for battle. I'm good with that and that's the extent of my knowledge so please no questions. I will add you're looking at 1.5 inches from the tip of his helmet wing thing to the bottom of the red marking on the shield he's holding. Shot with one light off to the left and some fairy lights in the back, for my good bokeh friends, sorry no bubbles from the Voigtlander...
Shot with: VOIGTLANDER, 125mm f/2.5 SL, MACRO APO-LANTHAR, shot @ f/4.0, 31 Layer Focus Stack Rendered w/Helicon Focus, (B,R5,S3).

my favorite from Week 2
I didn't even get my film that I ordered until Thursday, and that was jam-packed, I went on a photoshoot with Leah and John and I ended up using all 36 exposures, so all of these shots are from Friday.
Back in May of this year 2 of the freshest looking SD40-2's to come out of the West Cressona paint shop were paired together for a couple of weeks working out of West Cressona on the Good Springer job.
Standing on a bridge with the view of one of our newest bridges, the city and our South Bank precinct. Love my River City.

Landscape: Get Low - Time to look at the world from a different angle. Shoot a landscape from a low point of view.
Went to take a walk at Dovers Hill today as it is a beautiful place! Unfortunately, I am VERY selective about apps so no more walks here. Very sad.
week 9 / 52 :
I should start buying some equipment like lights and a flash... not much natural light available here during winter
also I need a haircut... my hair is growing so fast....

Snow, snow and snow, took this a morning before sunup. This week I had a lot of photos to choose from, I will put my runner-up in comments.
what if I fall and hurt myself
would you know how to fix me?
what if I went and lost myself
would you know where to find me?
if I forgot who I am,
would you please remind me?
I’ve been listening to this cover of 'Hazy' all week.
I haven't been on the computer until 9pm every day.
and I will only allow myself to be on the internet for an hour a day for the next weeks. because I need to concentrate on school. so I apologize in advance if I don't comment/favourite your photos or reply to your flickrmail in a while. I will have a look at them at some point!
I have so many pictures of this shoot, I overall took 631, but I don’t have enough time to edit them, so it may take some time until I upload them.

This week subject: Book(s).
Week 1/ Musty For the group: 52 Weeks for Dogs
i think she was wishing that that chicken was real
Musty is small but very brave, she almost never barks, loves to chase birds, rabbits and everything that moves..
Week#146 Reflections: I dug into the archives for this one. It is a favorite of mine. What you are seeing is a pond within a pond. A generous woman donated her land to be made into a park. The park has ponds stocked with fish, ballparks, picnic areas and places to just sit and relax.
“A friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself.“
- Jim Morrison
I saw my friends every day this week, except for sunday, and had a really good time. I just feel like myself when I’m with them. and I appreciate them. a lot.
apart from that I took care of two things I’ve been putting off for a very long time and it felt so very good.
this week I caught myself saying that this summer is the best one I ever had and that thought makes me happy.
