Here we are. This is my first big job on a portrait, using all the different technics I had learnt : dodge and burn, frequency separation, Hue and Saturation, Noise, Highlights, Shadows, playing and making a dedicated background with a DIY vignetting.

Feel free to comment please, from bad to good comments, I would appreciate it !

Strobist info : I think that the first lighting setup is The Key of success before any post-processing action :

An Godox Witstro Ad600 in a octabox in front of model (2,40 m high) and slightly on the right side of the subject. Powered at -1 in TTL.

On each sides of the model, fairly behind (at 2 and 10 hours), at 1.80 m height, a speedlight in a softbox (80 cm x 80 cm). Powered at 1/1 in manual mode at zoom 24 mm.

the Multimedia Artist Danny "MushroomBrain" Hennesy

This is a painting (did I say painting) I meant artwork I made with a tongue-in-cheeky-cheek nudge to Illusionism and artist working in that kind of media, I just skipped the painting part :) yeah sometime I admire my lazy what-the-fuck-ism :)

Lloyd's Building, Lime Street, London, England

Another image upload from London Open house weekend taken in the Lloyds building. This time taken from a different perspective to the other upload I did.

What really caught my eye in this is the repetition of the the spot lights, I wonder how many they used in this building. When editing this image I did have trouble balancing out the light coming in from the roof compared the the dark part of at the bottom (as I am sure many who have taken photos here before have found the same problem) however I think I have managed to balance it out right.

It seems that I have still got quite a few images from the open house weekend still the edit. I am also itching to get back out with my new camera as I have still got a few places I want to visit on my 'to do list.'

Anyway, hope you all have a great Friday and weekend.

Information

The Lloyd's building (also sometimes known as the Inside-Out Building) is the home of the insurance institution Lloyd's of London, and is located at 1, Lime Street, in the City of London, England.

It was designed by architect Richard Rogers and built between 1978 and 1986. Bovis was the management contractor for the scheme.[2] Like the Pompidou Centre (designed by Renzo Piano and Rogers), the building was innovative in having its services such as staircases, lifts, electrical power conduits and water pipes on the outside, leaving an uncluttered space inside. The twelve glass lifts were the first of their kind in the UK. Like the Pompidou Centre in Paris, the building was highly influenced by the work of Archigram in the 1950s and 1960s.

The building consists of three main towers and three service towers around a central, rectangular space. Its focal point is the large Underwriting Room on the ground floor, which houses the famous Lutine Bell. The Underwriting Room (often simply known as the Room) is overlooked by galleries, forming a 60 metres (197 ft) high atrium lit naturally through a huge barrel-vaulted glass roof. The first four galleries open onto the atrium space, and are connected by escalators through the middle of the structure. The higher floors are glassed-in, and can only be reached via the outside lifts.

Bees congregate on a Bird of Paradise flower on the side of my parents' house in southwestern Florida. These bees seemed quite intent on the nectar they were gathering and paid no heed to my presence, even though the lens was only feet away from them. Luckily, as bees were coming and going, I did not get stung... although one flew in front of my face for a few seconds before moving on! (IMG_6943a)

A day in a hide in Oulanka National Park (Finland) to photograph Golden Eagles (Aquila chrysaetos). Two of them to be precise. One big, one even bigger.

In September 2019, We came here the next day after the bush-fire swept the forest south of Yamba NSW Australia.

The area was already open, and we could see all the aftermath. Smoke and flame still here. However I could observe that the trees are alive and they will recover quickly (many banksias)

Let me know what you think about it

Following the viewpoints from the north we drove around to the southern side of Dunstanburgh Castle to Craster the village famous for its Kippers. We had a cream tea here before venturing northwards towards the castle. It was now very windy and cold.

So fun day today with the lovely Keri, she asked me if I wanted to go out and shoot a little bit today after work, cause you know turns out she wanted a shot of her in her jacket and you know I'll pretty much never pass up the chance to photograph someone thats not myself hahaha. So originally Keri wanted to go to some abandoned building she found online but when we drove out towards this place it turns out that its no longer there so we decided to hit up one of the fields that we saw on our way there to take todays photo. Only thing that kind of sucks, not that much though, is the fact that I for once I didn't bring any of my lights or lighting stuff with me to shoot todays photo. The natural light looks great and all but I like using my flashes hahaha. Either way Keri was awesome, and the hardest part about this was trying to get the right amount of flare in this shot. I got a few where it was way to much and you can barely see her but this was one that turned out alright. Post work involved a decent amount of colour work, and now that I look at it I think I might have lightened up her face just a little more then I should have. Though I'll also blame the flare for that as well hahaha. Either way fun day shooting someone other then myself.
