+1 in the comments [set up photo and detail about the lighting]
Well not going lie but I got nothing this week, mainly because I spent my two off watching the new season of House of Cards... So you know there went most of my days off sitting in front of my computer watching it for 13 hours, but I regret nothing! Well because of that I didn't get around shooting anything and I had planned on waking up early and trying to do something outside around sunrise but you know that never happens. Its a lie I always tell myself, that I'll wake up early and shoot sunrise, kind of just wake to up my alarm and immediately turn it off and say screw this! In the end I just ended up doing a last minute self portrait indoors, couldn't think of anything too creative so this this will have to do.
I really just starting setting up lights at home and just messed around, I didn't really have any ideas of what I wanted to for this photo so I just started adding one light at a time until I ended up with this. So really I was just messing around. Then i grabbed a spray bottle and just sprayed that everywhere since the background was pretty boring. I'll get a little more in depth about the lighting in the behind the scenes photo. All the lights had CTO gels on them so I could balance the city lights to be more neutral instead of a deep orange. Then I lowered the white balance a little more to make the whole scene a little more blue in general. A little colour work here and that was about it for post. So an alright photo for this week, hopefully I'll have something more creative done for next week.

Zebras are several species of African equids (horse family) united by their distinctive black-and-white striped coats. Their stripes come in different patterns, unique to each individual. They are generally social animals that live in small harems to large herds. Unlike their closest relatives, horses and donkeys, zebras have never been truly domesticated. There are three species of zebras: the plains zebra, the mountain zebra and the Grévy's zebra. The plains zebra and the mountain zebra belong to the subgenus Hippotigris, while Grévy's zebra is the sole species of subgenus Dolichohippus. The latter resembles an ass, to which zebras are closely related, while the former two look more horse-like. All three belong to the genus Equus, along with other living equids. The unique stripes of zebras make them one of the animals most familiar to people. They occur in a variety of habitats, such as grasslands, savannas, woodlands, thorny scrublands, mountains, and coastal hills. Various anthropogenic factors have had a severe impact on zebra populations, in particular hunting for skins and habitat destruction. Grévy's zebra and the mountain zebra are endangered. While plains zebras are much more plentiful, one subspecies, the quagga, became extinct in the late 19th century – though there is currently a plan, called the Quagga Project, that aims to breed zebras that are phenotypically similar to the quagga in a process called breeding back. Wonderful sunset in Altnau at Lake Constance.
Taken during a Filter Workshop at Lake Constance with great guys from Switzerland and Germany.
______________________________________________________________________________
Near the hamlet of Ruderbaum, the remains of a Horgen culture settlement have been discovered. Below the Horgen site, there may be also be Pfyn culture site, but that is less certain.
The modern village of Altnau may be first first mentioned in 787 as Althinouva. In the 8th Century the Abbey of St. Gall owned most of the land in Altnau. In 1155, Emperor Friedrich Barbarossa confirmed that the Cathedral of Constance owned the church and church yard in the village. The vogt right over the church's farms belonged to the Freiherr of Altenklingen after 1300. During the Late Middle Ages, this right was given to several noble families from Constance; 1378 Schwarz, 1430 Tettikofen, 1468 Mangolte, and from 1471 until 1798 the city of Constance directly controlled the farms. In 1454 the villagers were represented in the Appenzell Landrecht, but following complaints from Constance they were forced to give up their membership. The rights of the village are first listed in the Gerichtsoffnung of 1468.
The right to administer the parish of Altnau went from the cathedral's provost to the cathedral's dean in 1347. After the Protestant Reformation in 1528, the few remaining Catholics were looked after by Constance and the village church became a shared church. This situation remained until 1810 when two churches were completed.
Until the 19th Century, most of the local economy revolved around three-field agriculture. About 1880 a dairy company was founded in the village, and livestock and cheese production became common. Viticulture was common from the middle ages until 1912. In 1840 the Seestrasse (Lake Road) was built, and in 1870, the Seetalbahn (railroad line) was added. However, neither the road or the railroad led to a boost in the local economy, as the station was too far away.
