John Ballendine built this finely proportined Georgian house, Rockledge, circa 1760. William Buckland, a premier colonial Chesapeake architect reportedly designed it. Rockledge is a rare example of a Tidewater Virginia stone dwelling. Several entrepreneurs who sought to maximize Occoquan's potential as a port and commercial center resided here over time.
Occoquan, Virginia.

Scarborough South Bay Pool, South Bay, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England
This probably will be my last photo I upload for 2014. I decided to revisit this POV as it was the first photo I uploaded when I first moved to Scarborough back in April of this year. First reason is that I wasn't quite happy with the overall result of the original photo and secondly I thought it would be fitting to revisit the first photo I took in Scarborough.
The weather was very much different to the original, I didn't think I got anything good from this photowalk. The clouds were speeding along however there was no definition in them and more importantly no breaks in the clouds. However I am quite happy with this result.
2014 has been a great year for my photography, certainly learned new skills and met some new photography friends. I am looking forward to 2015 and plan to take more landscape photographs considering I am now back in Yorkshire and right near the coast, I have no excuse do I?
Thank you all to those who have followed my work this year and also taken the time to comment too. I hope you all have a wonderful New Year and I'll see you in 2015!

Location Information
Scarborough (/ˈskɑrbrə/ or /ˈskɑrbərə/) is a town on the North Sea coast of North Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the North Riding of Yorkshire, the town lies between 10-230 feet (3-70 m) above sea level, rising steeply northward and westward from the harbour onto limestone cliffs. The older part of the town lies around the harbour and is protected by a rocky headland.
With a population of around 50,000 Scarborough is the largest holiday resort on the Yorkshire coast. The town has fishing and service industries, including a growing digital and creative economy, as well as being a tourist destination.
Inhabitants of the town are known as Scarborians, or as Algerinos by people in Whitby. The origin of this nickname is thought to come from a ship called the Algerino which sunk off the bay of Scarborough; the locals at Scarborough refused to assist the ship in peril and fishermen took a more dangerous route in a lifeboat from Whitby, to the coast of Ravenscar, in a successful effort to save sailors of the Algerino. In an attempt to rid the town of the embarrassing story associated with the nickname, some inhabitants proposed that Algerino was a promiscuous individual of Italian descent who is supposed to have lain with many Scarborough females whilst their partners were at war.

Lloyd's Building, Lime Street, London, England
Another image upload from London Open house weekend taken in the Lloyds building. This time taken from a different perspective to the other upload I did.
What really caught my eye in this is the repetition of the the spot lights, I wonder how many they used in this building. When editing this image I did have trouble balancing out the light coming in from the roof compared the the dark part of at the bottom (as I am sure many who have taken photos here before have found the same problem) however I think I have managed to balance it out right.
It seems that I have still got quite a few images from the open house weekend still the edit. I am also itching to get back out with my new camera as I have still got a few places I want to visit on my 'to do list.'
Anyway, hope you all have a great Friday and weekend.

Information
The Lloyd's building (also sometimes known as the Inside-Out Building) is the home of the insurance institution Lloyd's of London, and is located at 1, Lime Street, in the City of London, England.
It was designed by architect Richard Rogers and built between 1978 and 1986. Bovis was the management contractor for the scheme.[2] Like the Pompidou Centre (designed by Renzo Piano and Rogers), the building was innovative in having its services such as staircases, lifts, electrical power conduits and water pipes on the outside, leaving an uncluttered space inside. The twelve glass lifts were the first of their kind in the UK. Like the Pompidou Centre in Paris, the building was highly influenced by the work of Archigram in the 1950s and 1960s.
The building consists of three main towers and three service towers around a central, rectangular space. Its focal point is the large Underwriting Room on the ground floor, which houses the famous Lutine Bell. The Underwriting Room (often simply known as the Room) is overlooked by galleries, forming a 60 metres (197 ft) high atrium lit naturally through a huge barrel-vaulted glass roof. The first four galleries open onto the atrium space, and are connected by escalators through the middle of the structure. The higher floors are glassed-in, and can only be reached via the outside lifts.

From a website:
The Church of the Holy Spirit is the most famous church in Heidelberg, Germany. It stands in the middle of the market place in the old center of Heidelberg not far from the Heidelberg Castle. The steeple of the church, rising above the roofs, dominates the town. It is first mentioned in a manuscript from 1239. In 1398, the foundations of the current late Gothic church were laid on the site of a late Romanesque basilica which, in turn, had been erected in the place of an even older church. Thus the current church is the third sacral building on the site. In the 14th century, the Church of the Holy Spirit took over as parish church from St. Peter's Church, which became the university church for the University of Heidelberg. In the course of its history, the Church of the Holy Spirit was used by both Catholics and Protestants, even simultaneously.
Had a good time watching barrel racing today, the speed was incredible.

Got them in my own backyard, in Sundsberg, in the South of Finland. They come to the feeder during the winter. However, this image of a Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius) was shot whilst I was waiting for Golden Eagles, some 900km north and more than a 10hr drive.

The lilies we have planted in our front yard are now blooming. I'm not very good at realizing when different flowers should be in bloom but it appears that lilies are at their peak right around the summer solstice. Must like it hot.

For HA ''website' challenge this week.
Made this card on a calm color scheme selected them myself.
I was inspired by the following card design in the technique article section:
Watercolor effects with Distress Inks By Shari Carroll.
*The coloring method is from Distressed Resist Technique by Jennifer McGuire on the HA blog video, and I add to color the white embossed part with several Liquid Pearls with water medium.
(I sure remember this method, the Liquid Pearls with water medium was introduced by Jennifer on the HA blog in the past, but I couldn't find where it was.)
I use pale pink Making Memories PP for the distressed resist part.
stamp used:
HA PF: You Sparkle / LL249
HA CardArt Happy wished/ K4883
HA SE: Artistic Windows / LP128
The design base of this card was also uploaded and can be seen at:

this one is a small collection about the gods of the nordic peoples, I used to read the mythology when I was a kid 5-6 years old, quite much violence :) This is Odin the one-eyed leader of the pack his pets except for Sleipner (as a punk MLP) I also managed to get the Capitalist pig Särimner on the painting, just like capitalism he was eaten every night and next day they feasted on him again, he was an eternal immortal
pig...
Peace, Noise and Capitalism!
/ MushroomBrain the poor capitalist pig!
POst Scriptum! I forgot to mention Thors hammer mjölner the flashing warhammer!
