I decided not to drywall the ceiling but put Film-Gard instead. I didn't want anything too permanent on the ceiling just in case I need to access the drainage pipe. It was easy to install with a staple gun and keeps the light out well. There are some spots where I need to use duct/gaffer tape to completely seal off the light but for the most part, it's working well for me.
I used two separate surge protectors: one to turn on the main light and the other for the darkroom equipment (enlarger, darkroom lights, etc). I'm not an electrician so I don't know how to hard wire things in.

Micah was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio. He left for basic training at Lackland AFB two months after graduating from high school.
He had attended 5 weeks of a 6 week basic training course at Lackland AFB, San Antonio Texas. Micah's MOS was to be in satelite communications.
35 days later, during a 36 hour training event (a 6 mile march) on September 10, 1999 at the Medina Annex, he collapsed at a water crossing from massive heat stroke. Micah was pronounced brain dead two days later.
From his journal entries, we know he was looking forward to moving on to Fort Gordon, Georgia for his tech school, returning home to attend the University of Cincinnati, and marrying his high school sweetheart Ericka. He wrote how proud he was going to be wearing his dress blues. The first and only time he wore that uniform was on the day we buried him.
Micah was buried in Saint Mary Cemetery, Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio.

This Ikea storage box has a recessed lid with a hole in it, making it a great charging station. I got the idea from this Instructables post, but didn't bother with the switch, and used an extension cord instead of a power bar because space is at a premium and those adapters don't need three-prong plugs. It also has the benefit of needing a smaller exit hole for its plug.
The plastic cuts easily with a utility knife to make the hole through which the power cable exits.
Still to do: Outlet multipliers, LED nightlight so the box glows when it's charging things, a USB power adapter so I can charge things that have proprietary USB cables.

Part of the building built in 1929 on 80 King Street West by architect Chapman and Oxley. The building was demolished in 1972.

Close to Bickford House, just off to your left is the Toronto Star Building’s ornamental parapets. The seven Indiana limestone panels and 2 granite panels are stacked on the grass like a stepped pyramid almost four meters tall.
What is a Parapet? A parapet is a low protective wall on the end of a roof, bridge or balcony. These panels used to be at the very top of the former Toronto Star Building near King and Bay.
Designed by Chapman and Oxley, the highrise was built in 1929 and demolished in 1970. At 22 stories it reflected the geometric and floral motifs of the art deco movement and was the second tallest voluntarily demolished building in Canada.
The building is also a pop culture icon and rumored to have been the inspiration for Superman’s Daily Planet Building. Joe Shuster, the comic’s co-creator, worked at the Toronto Star when it was still called the Daily Star and the building’s first appearance shares quite the resemblance to the Toronto high rise - minus the giant golden globe.
