This spider web pendant is rather large- 2 1/4 inches and I love it. I added some Swarovski crystals and used liver of sulfur to blacken it.
Seen this web up between two trees every morning for months; best time to spot giant webs and this IS a giant - taken 40 foot away. Even surviving the TS Hermine passing over; though I presume she had to rebuild. *never forget*

A delicate spiderweb hangs between thin branches, its intricate structure highlighted by hundreds of tiny, glistening water droplets. The moisture clings to the silk threads, turning the web into a sparkling, jewel-like display against the soft green background. This fragile masterpiece captures the quiet beauty of a damp morning in the bush.
This lizard was one of the real highlights of my trip. I like most lizards and think this one particularly interesting. I am disappointed at the background (a barbecue-type facility at a picnic area) but love the gecko.
The photo was taken at Dune 7 on a night (after dinner) search for nocturnal creatures. Only two of my group went, along with our leader and guide, and we saw very little overall, but this one sighting (made by Megs) made the entire evening a great success for me.
I was disappointed that the next night the intended night walk was cancelled due to dinner being late and I guess the lack of enthusiasm of the group for a very late night looking for such creatures.

An Argiope spider in my garden sits at the center of his rain soaked web. Argiope are an intimidating looking large spider but are pretty non aggressive and for the most part harmless. I look forward to seeing them in late summer and I have a total of three that I know of in my garden this year.
