I found this spider web at a dock on Lake Ontario and took this shot with my nikkor 50mm f/1.8 ai-s wide open which made this picture turn out very well
Another view of that fabulous web I found in front of my parked car. It was lit by the Parking Lot lamps. It was huge, being at last 2 feet across.
Another door at the fascinating installation by Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota at Eastbourne's Towner Gallery. I love the way it looks like someone has scribbled all over the pictures that I have taken.
It's really old, like 25 years old, and was sitting on a shelf in a thrift store. I bound the entire web for less than a fancy cup of coffee
The bee was caught in the web, we saw the spider wrap it up in a cocoon, then carry it off to hide it under a hanging basket.
Shame about the bar in the background, I couldn't change my angle to get rid of it. Also a grab shot with the wrong lens on! but it was that or miss it...
So I had previously added a mock-up of a website that we couldn't end up going with. The new direction is a word press theme that I have the duty of choosing colors and such.
So here is the explanation...The red text is not staying but I didn't feel like replacing it all. I did a screen capture and cut out the individual content boxes because I didn't want to spend the time recreating each one. The banner including the logo and picture content are not final but i just wanted to throw something in there.
These were the requests for the overall design:
Design: Clean and bright
Focus: Family, ministries and current message
Additional Functions: Welcome to newcomers, calendar, drop down list to reach all areas on site

This is a window luminary made out of exam table paper and butcher paper. I cut the web out using an exacto knife and then taped it up to the exam table paper to keep it from bending too much.
Wet spider web on an early morning at the Torronsuo Swamp in Finland. Sunlight hits the water drops on the web.
It has taken me a while to find a spiderweb to photograph and I am glad I finally found one during my hike.

I arose on this morning dying for a puff off the dreaded weed and while I was smoking I noticed the amazing carpet of spiders webs that were covering everything in the garden. The sun was low in the sky and rising in the east and along with the thawing frost the carpet was visible. The combination of all these factors made for a rare scene and I could not resist taking some photographs. I was concerned the conditions would change fast or the sun would go behind a cloud so I snapped while I was still in pyjamas, fortunately we live in the country
a set of twin spider webs - that is the webs that are twin not the spiders.... well at least I think it is the web as there are no spiders in the photograph.

A large (35-40mm) female Tent web spider Cyrtophora citricola guarding her egg sac.
The tent shaped web is made of non-sticky, closely woven threads. The distinctive webs are not easily recognized as orb-webs because they are woven on a horizontal pane with a network of supporting threads above them.
