A spider web that looks like the radio astronomy dish at Parkes. What came first - the web or the dish? Probably the work of a Silver Orb Weaver Leucauge granulata. Paruna Reserve, Como NSW Australia, March 2010.
Taken at Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.
spider looking right at me as i shoot photos of him standing inches away. :P
The web is detailed, but in a state of disarray.
Or should I say mistress - it's the female orb weaver spiders that grow large and spin their intricate webs.

This little fellow was sitting on the orange leave right inside a bougainvillea flower. He didn't like the macro flash light so he made a shy gesture and I decided to walked away. In original he was only 2 mm to 3mm maximum long.
Ridiculous but I was scare to death!*lol I can be face to face with lions, elephants or others like cockroachs but spiders… Arachnophobia for sure! HaHaHa…
HaHaHa…
