This is the web based application made by me during the 24 hour hacking competition HackU, organised by Yahoo. It is a chat based app that identifies the content of the chat and displays relevant results as is visible in the screenshot.

JEMA is a location variable museum space. It is housed in a sturdy but stylish 16"x12"x9" aluminum carrying case. JEMA new museum and celebrated its Grand Opening on July 25th, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Seattle Art Museum. The opening lasted two minutes. JEMA is a museum, display case, crate, exhibition space, sculpture, photographic series, performance, installation, site-specific project, collaboration and web-based project. In fact, in its operation JEMA exhibits and demonstrates almost all media associated with visual art (sometimes simultaneously). In addition, it involves nearly all the realms of art practice and the business of art, revitalizing the roles of curator, artist, and viewer.
JEMA has varied its location to UICA, Michigan, Icebox Gallery, Tacoma, Washington, Aqua Art Fair Miami Beach, Howard House, Seattle, Washington, National Museum of Ireland in Dublin, the ACC Galerie Weimar, Germany, Art Parade, SoHo, Deitch Projects, Schalter Gallery, Berlin.
When Prince George's County first established a 311 citizen intake system, it was strictly web based with a call center to be added at a later date. I was part of the group tasked with the challenge to drive customers to county services requested and delivered via the internet. Our solution was Prince George's County Click 311.
The logo was designed using Adobe Illustrator and the web based delivery of services is emphasized by the use of Myriad Pro. a font specially designed for display on computer screens.

HUNT VALLEY, Md. (June 15, 2015) - Student teams from all over the country are arriving here today to take part as national finalists in the U. S. Army's 13th annual eCYBERMISSION competition. The web-based science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) competition is designed to cultivate student interest in STEM by encouraging students in grades six through nine to develop solutions to real world problems in their local communities.

The workshop is part of the Bates College Museum of Art children's program that explores poetry in relation to the visual arts. Aimed at fourth- through sixth-graders, the two-part series begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5. Museum staff will offer the two-hour session "An Introduction to Writing Poetry from the Visual Arts through the Thousand Words Project."
Paul Janeczko of Hebron, a prolific Maine author who specializes in teaching poetry to young people, leads the second session, "Pictures and Poems" which starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12.
Both sessions take place at the museum, located at 75 Russell St. A session postponed by severe weather will take place at 10 a.m. the following day. The program costs $10; space is limited and preregistration is required. To register, please contact Anne Odom at aodom@bates.edu or 207-786-8212.
Janeczko's books include poetry, fiction and nonfiction. An experienced educator, he visits schools around the country to introduce children to poetry. His nonfiction works include "The Dark Game: True Spy Stories" (Candlewick, 2010) and "Top Secret: A Handbook of Codes, Ciphers and Secret Writing" (Candlewick, 2006).
The Bates program is offered as a ramp-up to the Poetry Out Loud state finals at the Franco-American Heritage Center in Lewiston on March 11, and is supported by the Maine Arts Commission. Created by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation, in partnership with state arts agencies, Poetry Out Loud encourages young people to discover great poetry through memorization and recitation.
The program builds on the recent resurgence of spoken poetry by bringing the dynamic aspects of slam poetry, spoken word and theater into English classes. Registration is open to all public, private, parochial and home-school high schools in Maine.
The Thousand Words Project at the Bates College Museum of Art focuses on the teaching of writing skills through the exploration of visual art. A Web-based TWP video and curriculum guide, produced by Durham-based Leighton Images, has just been launched. The TWP was designed by the museum's curator of education, Anthony Shostak.

In the last day or so a shiny new website has sprung up for the Rails web-application framework.
A while back a made a comment that I’d rather write a video game in Fortran than have to write another web-based application without Rails which still very much holds true today.
While checking out the new site I see that my quote is on the front page... Just below that of Dave Thomas. I'm famous! Or maybe not. All I know is that there is no way my name should appear on the same page as Dave Thomas. I'm not 1/8th the programmer that guy is.
Comfort Zone is a web-based game, designed for the Abramson Center for the Future of Health. It gives recently diagnosed Prostate Cancer patients the ability to explore their questions and concerns about treatment options. The game uses friendly spin-the-wheel and card game mechanics, making play easy for older adult audiences.
Through gameplay, patients are able to create an informed list of questions for their doctor.
