This location opened in January 2021; it was originally an hhgregg, which opened on September 30th, 2010 and closed in April 2017. Spirit Halloween occupied the building in falls 2017, 2019, and 2020, and in fall 2018 it was a Halloween City/Toy City.

Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out will be playing at this year's Charlotte (MI) Bluegrass Festival on Friday, June 22.

Wayne Benson's been a member of IIIrd Tyme Out for most of its existence--and 3TO's played at the Charlotte festival most summers since the band was formed. That's lead singer/guitarist Russell Moore beyond Wayne, and Steve Dilling--now with Sideline, as we've seen--beyond Russell.

I've seen these guys a lot. There's no band I like better.

Wayne Manor and Batcave

After seeing the treatment of both Wayne Manor and the Batcave in the second Lego Batman video game, I was inspired to build it in brick. The idea of it being shaped like the bat symbol really impressed me, especially with the challenge it presented with building it in brick; especially as the game version is simply polygons.

My scale was set by the windows, and I built out from there. After building the frame, the trick to stabilise the shape was very difficult, especially with so many hinges, but I managed to find the balance. The landscaping was kept to a minimum both for time reasons and also to not take any focus away from the manor itself.

The Batcave was a lot of fun to build and features a huge collection of LEDs to light it, including one that cycles through in the console. The suits wall was fun to build too.

I will admit, it is a little short, but perhaps one day I'll give it a little more height.

This was first displayed at Brickvention 2015 on a super heroes corner of my club's train layout and has been displayed about 15 times since both with the train layout and as it is displayed here.

One day, I'll get around to the interior of the manor...

The BUN bar was originally made by Wayne Candy Company back in the 1920s, which was based, oddly enough in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Later the bar was bought by Clark of Pittsburgh (the Clark bar) but when Clark was ailing they sold the BUN rights off to Pearson’s in 1998.

My aunt used to work here when I was a kid. I would like to find out a little more about the history of the company.

Illinois? Not!

Wayne and Garth of the 1992 movie "Wayne's World" are supposed to live in Aurora, Illinois but the homes used for the filming were actually a private residence in the city of Van Nuys, CA. This was the home of Garth (Dana Carvey).

This home is located at 7102 Texhoma Avenue, Van Nuys.
