I would like to say thanks to all my friends for visiting and highly appreciated your comments and FAVES!!
While we were holidaying in Mauritius the ocean was quite calm for most of the time but on a couple of days the wind got up and created these large rolling waves. The sail boarders and windsurfers had great fun and we enjoyed watching them.
I know Renee was here in Lone Pine recently and I was looking for her footprints 😊
and felt I should wave hi to all my flickr friends.
I am going to be travelling till mid-September hoping to take some nice pictures, so I will be off flickr for a while.
I know I have been remiss getting to everyone, so I wanted to say thank you to for the favs and comments, and hope everyone enjoys there summer.

It was actually a cold windy morning. They offshore wind was catching the face of the wave making beautiful rainbows. It did look a lot more distinct in person.
When we visited Carrapateira in october a strong east wind blew offshore against the Atlantic waves. It was amazing for us to look, how the spray blew in the opposite direction to the breaking waves.

I have to acknowledge the fantastic seascapes of David Baker, a photographer based in southern England who produces the most beautiful images of the shore - always in the place where the sea meets the land. This photograph though by no means expresses what he achieves.

Today storm Eleanor hit the west of the UK, like a mad man i headed out to a spot which can get pretty wild at times to try and capture an image ive had in thought for a while now. All the elements for the shot where there today but they didn't arrive at the same time so its back to waiting. I did capture some interesting images which i will share shortly. This image is just of two waves about to crash and release their energy.
