Le acque del lago sono interamente balneabili e la loro temperatura mite permette lunghe nuotate per tutta l’estate fino a settembre inoltrato. Ogni anno sulle sponde del Lago d’Idro si ritrovano appassionati di surf, vela, canoa, ma anche famiglie che qui possono trovare campeggi e spiagge adatte ad una vacanza con bambini lontana dalla frenesia delle città. In acque così pulite trovano habitat ideale molte specie di pesci e, di conseguenza, sono tanti i pescatori che pescano nella quiete della natura lacustre.

Took friends into this quaint town and visited the Bumbungan Eco Park and its waterfall plus Lumot Lake. Along with a visit to the nearby historical town of Pila, it was just enough for a day tour.
I have been to the archive and picked a picture. This was taken last summer at the lake Jølstravatnet in Western Norway.

These trees are a few hundred years old and the villagers live nearby and enjoy the benefit of these beautiful trees creating shades for them to enjoy the river.
Norrköping is a beautiful city with an amazing waterscape, a well-preserved old industrial landscape. Spinning mills, cotton factories and a variety of other industries were established along the rapids of Motala Ström in the 17th century and onwards. It was water power from the river and the good harbour that made very rapid industrial growth possible. Especially the textile industry boomed, which is why Norrköping has acquired the nickname “Sweden’s Manchester”. The last thumping from the looms was heard in the mid 1970’s, and these days none of the impressive factory buildings are used the way they were intended. The city has put a lot of resources into preserving this area with beautiful walkways along the water and several interesting museums.
