Le acque del lago sono interamente balneabili e la loro temperatura mite permette lunghe nuotate per tutta l’estate fino a settembre inoltrato. Ogni anno sulle sponde del Lago d’Idro si ritrovano appassionati di surf, vela, canoa, ma anche famiglie che qui possono trovare campeggi e spiagge adatte ad una vacanza con bambini lontana dalla frenesia delle città. In acque così pulite trovano habitat ideale molte specie di pesci e, di conseguenza, sono tanti i pescatori che pescano nella quiete della natura lacustre.
