Despite its name this waterfall is located on Reunion island.
It is at its best during raining season, that means right now :D.
Specially today, while the typhoon called Berguita is hitting the island...
thanks for the visit
I live in the waterfall capitol of the world, Hamilton boasts over 100, and this is one I get to see quite frequently, it really is a beauty when the sun shines.
This was shot in the fall, but it is sooc other than the square crop. Still going through files so I can clean up my computer
After the heavy rain over the past few days, I thought the waterfalls might be fast flowing. Alas Not
Wild waterfalls in the Valle d'Aran. We got up and saw that the snow began to cover the highest peaks. With the autumn arrived rains, snow and fog. The waters descend forming beautiful waterfalls like this one.

Gullfoss Waterfall is in the canyon of the Hvítá river in southwest Iceland.
We arrived early in the morning and had the entire place to ourselves and it was stunning. The wind was really strong and with the spray of the water I found it quite hard to get a photograph without water drops filling the lens.
I would love to visit this place again during the winter.
I'm willing to bet that this is the only photo of this place on the entire internet, because it's an absolute bitch to get to (it's also technically on private land, but we have arrangement). I'm running out of little waterfalls now that are within walking distance of my house (I only know of 2 other ones that I haven't already posted pictures of), however this one won't be repeated anytime soon because of the difficulty of getting there. However if we get another storm or a lot of rain in a short space of time again, this is the first place I'm going to go to!
Last Tuesday, Mum and I had fantastic weather for our hike around Glenariff Forest Park. We finished it with a very very steep hill climb back to the car park, but it was worth it to have seen the waterfalls...
This one, called Ess-Na-Crub looks a whole lot better after a heavy rainfall, but it still had a lovely flow. Of course, miss smartypants didn't bring her tripod, so this was handheld, but I think I kept it steady enough to pull it off :) I might go back and try it properly again some day lol
Sorry if I haven't got round to visiting your photostream yet, I will try and pop in soon :)
Take care everyone and have a great Thursday :)
Thank you for all the views, comments and faves!
