I was recently in Jacksonville, FL for business. The hotel I stayed at had this pretty nice man-made waterfall just behind the main lobby.
One of my bosses, asked that I make a picture of it for him to use on a thank-you card.
Once done with the standard processing, I tweeked it a bit using both Capture NX2 and Nik Color Efex 3.
During the capture process, I wanted a bit more shutter drag. In the set-up menu, I found the Built-in ND filter. Using the "ON" setting... not the "AUTO" setting... I was able to pull my shutter speeds down from 1.6 sec to 8 sec.
Cool feature.

After the Rain, R.B. Ricketts Falls, Ricketts Glen State Park, PA
I have never seen this waterfall so good but after the heavy rain last Friday! I spent quite a bit of time by myself on Friday shooting these falls from many different vantage points and getting soaking wet in the process, such fun!!
Join me on June 21 for a one day workshop in Ricketts Glen where we will hike the entire loop and photograph many waterfalls and stream scenics. Gonna be blast - www.adventuresinlightphotoworkshops.com/rickettsglenwater...
Ball's Falls is located in Ball's Mills, formerly Glen Elgin, a historical ghost town located in what is now a part of Jordan in the Niagara region, southern Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1783 by Jacob Ball, a Loyalist refugee from the American Revolution, the town fell on hard times when the railway relocated and the mill closed in the 1850s. The waterfall on Twenty Mile Creek, mill ruins and preserved townsite now are maintained as a conservation area operated by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
In the spring, the waterfall is a raging torrent flowing over the top of the Niagara escarpment shale, but the low water level when I visited in October, I think, makes the scene considerably more tranquil.

Me standing in front of Ganoga Falls which has a 94' drop. Impressive sight and the force that comes off of the waterfall is amazing.
Apologies that I don't remember the name of this waterfall - there are 22 named waterfalls in Ricketts Glen. The plunge pool was rather uninteresting, so I crouched down and included the foreground rock and an overhanging branch

One of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland, this impressive 197 ft beauty. While I had a 48 hour layover in Iceland, I visited this while traveling along the southern coast. I loved the ice details in the foreground.

Stood knees deep at 4 am to try and get some shots of this beautiful waterfall in Sweden called Ristafallet. Its one of Swedens biggest waterfalls, lies near Åre which is a famous ski resort.
Was up there on vacation for 4 days and had hoped for some colors in the sky, but it was a no show.
As you can see the spray from the fall was pretty heavy, but I found some shelter behind the rock on the right.
