I didn't spot any gators today...

Otto Schade, under CCTV surveillance.

Good to see you today Otto.

Maybe I'll just take the stairs.

I was grateful for the warning, and the paper towels provided.

Sunset at Flamborough Head lighthouse in mid February. Looking back to the sun, I used the square electricity substation to block the sun so it didn't flare out on the image. The light was soft and minimal, while the colour of the sky was warm and inviting.

Today's visit to the not-so-secret Secret Nuclear Bunker at Hack Green, Cheshire

After an exceptionally wet Winter in most of Australia, the plant life out in the 'bush' is growing rapidly. Now with the arrival of the warm to hot winds from the north, this vegetation is starting to dry. Only too soon the pointers on the fire danger rating boards will be moved from green and then towards the red and hopefully not beyond.

But of course every now and then you could hear the whistle blowing as someone still "had" to go there

Only a Local Authority would be daft enough to paint Double Yellows on a slipway into the sea! Having said that, they must have decided to do it because someone had parked on it at some point!

Gary went for the centre of the slipway, Steff went for the right hand side and I decided to concentrate on this oddity! Steff reckons I should have posted the portrait version but I'd already cropped it this way (although the other version appeals as well).

... this was the Britten-Norman Islander (BN) plane we were to take out to the island. The flight takes 8-9 minutes. The Aran Islands lie in Galway Bay.

A Victorian building undergoing renovation. I'd much rather see more of this than the wholesale demolition of stunning buildings.

Just look at the wear in those old limestone steps.

The one-way Firehole Lake Drive takes you through the woods and back to a place where hidden geysers and thermal features that can't be seen from the road, are found. Several pullouts and parking areas along your drive make it easy for you to get out of the car and take your time admiring these natural wonders. This is also where Great Fountain Geyser is located. Great Fountain Geyser is the only geyser not in the Upper Geyser Basin that is predicted at the Old Faithful Visitor Education Center. Eruptions 100 ft. high shoot out from a pool of water in a magnificent display. The road continues on and squeezes between Firehole Lake and Hot Lake before taking you back into the woods where it eventually meets back up with the main road right across the street from the Fountain Paint Pot parking lot and boardwalk. Ample parking is available at Firehole and Hot Lakes with boardwalks leading you along the banks of the steaming water. RVs, buses and trailers are not permitted on this road due to narrow sections along the way. Pick up an Old Faithful Area Trail Guide at any visitor center so you can read about all the different features and stops around Firehole Lake Drive. It has many geysers and hot springs visible from the road. There is also a boardwalk around the Firehole Lake itself, leading you to small geysers and springs. Yellowstone National Park is a national park located in the U.S. states of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. It was established by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872. Yellowstone was the first National Park in the U.S. and is also widely held to be the first national park in the world. The park is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser, one of its most popular features. It has many types of ecosystems, but the subalpine forest is the most abundant. It is part of the South Central Rockies forests ecoregion. [Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellowstone_National_Park]
