Another wintertime photo from my neighbourhood, taken while it was snowing in December.

London -- Wapping, in particular -- looks great under the snow. Too bad it doesn't snow more often.

Die "MS Wappen von Hamburg" von 1965 war das dritte der Seebäderschiffe der HADAG Seetouristik Hamburg. Es wurde für den Helgoland-Fährbetrieb gebaut und war das größte deutsche Seebäderschiff. Das Schiff verfügte neben zwei Restaurants über einen Aussichtssalon, eine Diskothek, Cafés und über Zwei- und Dreibettkabinen. Es bot auf fünf Decks mit zehn Salons Platz für 1800 Passagiere. Von November 2010 bis Januar 2011 wurde das einst modernste Schiff abgewrackt.

The Thames Tunnel. Opened in 1843 and built by Sir Marc Isambard Brunel. The first tunnel in the world to be built beneath water.

Open to the public this weekend (tickets sold out) and only the second time in its history that the tunnel has been open to the general public.
