Feita pela minha mãe.

Made by my mother.

Five cards place. Nice thick coin compartment that will fold out if it get full. (I am happy to figure out this one!) Two bills compartments and one compartment for random stuff behind the card holders.

Pattern figured out by myself by drawing on paper. :)

I always see things that I want to change when it is finished:

I should have used other color for the polka dot fabric to set it off nicely.

And the zipper should be opposite direction.

But in the end I am happy to have a functional and whole wallet!

This wallet comes complete with a standard deck of playing cards, spiral notebook and scoring pencil. This is perfect for travel or carrying in your backpack or purse. You'll be ready to play cards whenever and wherever you want!

Also available with crayons!

If you see a wallet you would like with a the crayons or cards switched, just let me know in 'notes to seller' or in an email and I'll switch them for you.

If you put a coin in this wallet and tap it with you magic wand the coin disappears. When you say magic words and tap it again the coin comes back.

Here is another of the Tomboy wallets, which is my new design and now available in my Etsy shop. I love the vibrant colors of this fabric! This wallet holds both coin and paper money and has four slots for your cards.

A "wallet on chain," which is going to function as a small clutch for me.

I'm addicted to accessories. I'm definitely still on a budget, but I splurged on this and an LV scarf, because life is too short.

Close up of a leather wallet with the tips of five 20 dollar bills sticking out

10th January 2010 - I've been thinking about picking up a new wallet for sometime now. I think I've been putting it off for about 6 months. I mean there really wasn't a need for a new wallet, except for the fact that some of the leather has started to tear on my old one, but I thought it was time for a change.

For sometime I've been thinking about getting a J Fold wallet, only for the fact that I'm quite impressed by their design perspective of wallets, but the sticking point was the size; much larger than the wallet I'm use to. I somehow stumble across these "Dosh" wallets, and after checking out the size, I was sold.

I love the colour of it, but the worrying thing was getting used to only carrying around 6 cards (trust me, I tried slipping more in, and you really can't fit more than 6!) and the fact that bills are held in place by a money clip, which I have never used before since I don't have that much money to be slinging around. I must point out that it's made of a plastic rubber combination.

Normally I wouldn't be splashing out $110 for a wallet (!!!), but I rationalised it through all of these late hours I've been doing at work; time for a reward.

From Bend the Rules Sewing.

i didn't do the seaming around the outside because i read the errata to late and by following the pattern in the book i would not have been able to put my cards in.

Here are 3 things I have sewn in the last few days. I made 2 zippered pouches and a cheque book wallet.
