This is one of the two Coyotes I photographed teasing a Badger, as some of you might recall from a recent upload. When the game ended, both coyotes curled up on the open prairie for a nap. I took the opportunity to stalk them with tripod and the 500 mm, duck-walking in a crouch, stopping often, using sagebrush as occasional cover. Anytime one of them stirred, I would freeze, and they were unaware of me until I was quite close.
When they finally noticed me and sat up, this was the response... not too concerned. I'd like to write more about this encounter but for some reason I feel like curling up for a nap on my living room floor.

First thing I did waking up Tuesday: a quick sleepy shot. If only I could stay in bed all morning...

Sunrise from Cabo San Juan Guía, at Tayrona National Natural Park, Santa Marta - Colombia. A trip with some friends, all of them were sleeping. I just woke up early with this outstanding landscape; I took my camera with no pressure, set the parameters and captured the view. It was such a peaceful moment while listening to the sea waves and waiting for the Sun to rise.

Back to reality today; Monday's are always a little tedious but today was fast paced and constant. Shrouded in meetings and must-do's, the day sped by.
I won't complain about a Monday speeding by quickly though, especially since it seems to set the tempo for the week.
If it keeps up at this pace, it'll be Friday in no time!
Hope everyone has had a good day.

things are starting to belong to me
in a whole new way
all these dimensions that i cannot compose, nor feel, nor touch
it's quieter now
yet something has been forever lost.

The view from Seattle's Getty Images office at 6:58 AM on 1/9/14 from the Technology side of the building. I like to arrive early to the office.

Early morning sunrise in Sidney, BC. This was taken the day before the smoke from the BC fires came in and blanketed Vancouver Island with toxic thick air. The summer of 2018 in BC is desperate for some heavy rain.
So note to myself: Get Up Earlier!!! But at least I found a location to come back to. 3 AM wake-up call next time. Sun was already coming up and I really slapped this one together on the fly. And if you know anything about parking in Chicago!!! Apologies to anyone who had to listen to The Black Keys as I drove by but not that sorry ;-)
A BIG thank-you to Chuck Sudo at Chicagoist.com for using this photo today! It made my day!
Tangier is a city in northwestern Morocco. It is on the Maghreb coast at the western entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Spartel. The town is the capital of the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, as well as the Tangier-Assilah prefecture of Morocco.

A cheerful blonde hotel guest welcomes the day with a smile, rising from her bed in the soft warmth of morning light. The tidy room, warm wood tones, and relaxed atmosphere create a quiet little scene of travel, comfort, and fresh anticipation.

To me it looks like this sunflower is just waking up. Half open and half closed up. I like it and I hope you all will too! I hope you all have a super day!
