Trio of kittens that showed up on our deck last night. This morning they were still here when I opened the door. Sigh.
One night after a round or two of drinking, I stumbled across this while looking for some FAST "food".
Wake Up Momoko is wearing a Dressmaker Details top and knit cardigan, over the knee socks from Chill Factor Dynamite Girls, and Randal Craig shoes.
My Momoko dolls now sport a v2 Dynamite Girl body, with Fashion Royalty hands.
(Tulip table in the photo is from Mary Quant Daisy doll, and Tulip chairs were bought loose on ebay)
This fine roebuck stood up as I passed him in the early morning, Southwest France. You can see he's just wearing off the last of the velvet from his new antlers
Its around 7am in East Ely. I've been hanging around the engine house since a little after 5, and the sunlight is starting to streak in through the skylights.
So tomorrow's the first day of school for me. Waking up at 5:30 am all over again for everyday for who knows how long will definitely be a project/chore/pain in the ass/dreaded thing for me.
Other than that, I'm ready for school again.
...okay, I lied. I'm not really ready to let go of summer just yet.
D3 BOYS' BASKETBALL: WHITINSVILLE CHRISTIAN 71, TAHANTO 46.By Steve Farley CORRESPONDENT..NORTHBRIDGE— After senior sharpshooter Dan Hergert buried a 3-pointer to give 15th-seeded Tahanto Regional a one-point lead a little over 2-1/2 minutes into the third quarter, three-time defending Central Mass. Division 3 champion Whitinsville Christian realized it needed a wakeup call. .Its veteran leaders made sure it got one. ..Grant Brown, Tim Dufficy and Graham Tienhaara combined for 44 points to lead the second-seeded Crusaders to a 71-46 victory over the underdog Stags on Wednesday night. ..Whitinsville Christian (18-2) hosts No. 10 seed Hopedale High in a quarterfinal at 7 p.m. Friday. ..After falling to the Blue Raiders in their season opener, the Crusaders edged Hopedale, 57-53, on Jan. 23 to avenge their only Dual Valley Conference loss. ..Tahanto, led by Hergert’s game-high 18 points (including four 3s), jumped out to a 15-6 lead in the first period. The Stags (10-11) found themselves trailing, 30-22, late in the first half, but rallied to tie it at intermission when junior forward Kyle McCubrey knocked down an NBA-range 3-pointer with one second to go. ..“We weren’t coming out on them hard enough,” said the 6-foot-3 Brown, who had a team-high 17 points. “They were hitting shots. That was great offense and not as much bad defense. This is the best first game we’ve had in my four years here. This was the first time we played a team that played in the Clark Tournament in the first round. We just didn’t have a good (first) half.” ..“We came out a little flat, a little impatient, and they came out shooting lights-out,” Whitinsville Christian coach Jeff Bajema said. “No excuses but we didn’t have a good week of practice. We didn’t scrimmage anyone and we didn’t play in over a week. (Tahanto) came out making 3s.” ..“I thought we played a great first half,” said Tahanto coach Peter Maki, whose team drilled six of its nine 3-pointers in the first 16 minutes. “It’s up to the seniors to set the tone and I thought they did that in the first half. We knew we weren’t going to be able to get the ball inside. They’re too big of a team.” ..Dufficy’s layup put the Crusaders on top, 35-33, with 6:14 left in the third quarter. Hergert’s 3-pointer with 5:27 remaining gave Tahanto a short-lived, 36-35 lead before Whitinsville Christian went on an 11-0 run, capped by a pair of free throws by the 6-3 Tienhaara, who scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half. ..A basket by Tony Pacheco cut it to 46-38 with 58 seconds left in the third period, but a put-back by Tienhaara and a layup off a steal by Brown boosted the Crusaders’ advantage to 50-38 going into the fourth period. ..“In the second half, we upped the tempo a bit,” Brown said. “Once we got our fast break going, that kind of changed the game for us. In the second half, Graham got going. To me, he’s one of the best centers in the league. The rest of us just got going.” ..Whitinsville Christian poured it on the final period, outscoring Tahanto, 21-8. ..Ahead, 52-40, after a short jumper by the Stags’ Alex Wilhelmy, the Crusaders scored 15 unanswered points to take a commanding 67-40 lead with 3:04 left. Grant scored six points during the run, Dufficy five and Tienhaara four. ..Nine players scored at least two points for Whitinsville Christian. ..“We played with more composure and we started to attack more and take what they were giving us,” Bajema said. “Give Tahanto credit — they played hard and made shots.” ..“I’m very pleased with the effort the guys gave,” Maki said. “We struggled a bit in the second half. We missed some shots and defensively we gave up some easy hoops.”

So, remember how I had trouble naming this girl? And "we" finally settled on Camelia? She managed to change it to Camilla... Fine, I say...
I have never had a doll so bossy. It's unsettling, because I thought I call the shots with dolls, you know? As a human?

Anyway, she picked this outfit.

After driving back from oregon until about 1AM I finally got sleepy enough and found a dirt patch off the side of the interstate to throw my sleeping pad on. I promptly passed out, but I was woken but an amazing rainbow with lots of rain and lightning in the distance. I couldn't capture the lightning, but the rainbow turned out really cool.
