My entry for the latest Mimobot x Infectious competition. I'll let you know when it's up for voting!
So @digitalnative thought he can do the entire February with coffee pics. I don't know whether I can or not, but here's my first coffee picture, Dunkin' Donuts Cappuccino. Until I order my Flavia coffees and make my own Cappuccinos, I have to buy fancy drinks (once in a while). I didn't know that I was a coffee snob until two months ago. Thinking I'll save some bucks, I bought a container of Taster's Choice (gasp!) from BJ's. Yes, the big plastic container of instant coffee. I drank a week of it. I drank it, convincing my body that I'd get used to the taste...the taste I craved in High School....
What in the heck was I thinking?
The taste is blah with no distinct flavor. Hazelnut coffee flavor creamer is a MUST to help gulp it down. I drink this stuff because I need the caffeine, not for the taste! At this point, I need the caffeine patch like Dr. Krunkelhorn (Wilbur's Grandma in Meet the Robinsons).
I have a crazy crave for good nutty, perfectly roasted taste. I'll take a cup of smooth and sweet cup (yup, like it sweet~!)
So I'm learning that I can be a very particular about things in life like trite things as a cup of coffee. I guess it's like when you've experienced a great music performance live and then hear a mediocre performance, it the is excellence you miss. Or maybe it's like using an intuitive and easy-to-use tool and then find a similar tool that is clunky.
In both cases, you miss what is whole. The good. The "thing" that makes your life more complete and uncomplicated.
I want my teaching to be like that. Fresh, awakening and inspiring. So I'm learning. I'm learning to see my students. I'm learning to see who I am.
Can you smell it percolating?
19 kilometers journey from Sharda, upstream takes one to Kel. It is a small valley at the height of 2097 meters. This is another picturesque place in the Neelum Valley . The Shounter Nullah joins river Neelum at this place and leads to Gilgit Agency over the Shounter Pass (4,420 meter). Kel is also a base camp of mountaineering activities up to “ Sarawaal peak” 6326 meters above sea level and “Sarawaali Glacier” which are said to be the highest peak and biggest glacier of Azad Kashmir.
