Their look is finally complete! I made some tiny headpieces for them. The blondie has a black elastic band sewn on the back with a black satin ribbon sewn on top, the brunette has a white floral lace band tied on the back.
I must say I'm very satisfied on their final look! I like the blondie's Alice style and the brunette sweet style. I was not planning an Alice style for the blondie, but I'm glad it came this way in the end, since I've wanted an Alice Momoko but both the models were expensive.
When working solo, the Dorymen of Pacific City, Oregon have to launch their dories unattended. They back their trailers into the surf and drop off their boats. Then they speed their trucks up above the high tide line to park. Next comes their run back to the ocean to get in their boat (running in waders is not easy). If they are lucky, their dory has stayed close to the beach, but that is not always the case. Here is a dory waiting in the surf for its owner.
