Haven't been able to get out to take any new photos so scanning old slides has been my only photo work lately. And since it's Thursday, might as well find a GP30. In this view, we see an east bound N&W hopper train passing Bellevue yard in March 1974. This view off of the Rt 4 overpass is one that I need to go back and do again for the comparison. I didn't think it was common to hump TOFC traffic.

A pair of N&W high hoods lead a couple of D&H GE's on an Eastbound D&H freight stopped for a crew change in Hornell, NY in August 1977. Another goodie from my first trip to Hornell.

I love the lines in this composition! The Ws in the foreground with a S shape from front to back.
Lancelin is about 1.5 hours’ drive north of Perth. It was my first stop on the way to The Pinnacles. Probably best at sunrise/set (same as most spots) but with high level cloud plus low clouds, the sky was quite interesting as well.
The sand dunes are about two kilometres long and is nestled directly inland from Lancelin Township which are the biggest in Western Australia.
Sand boarding down 45 degree angle dunes or dirt bike or four wheel drive is what brings most tourists hence…
I went to the smaller/southern end to avoid foot steps, sand boards and tyre tracks. Light rain overnight may give the distinctive sand patterns.
