A vulnerable species in rainforest and Monsoon forest from Mt Dryander near Proserpine south to Koumala near Sarina.
Neisosperma kilneri grows to around 20m, with whorled leaves and has strongly scented Franjipani-like flowers produced in autumn. It exudes a milky sap when a branch is broken. The inedible fruits are produced in pairs and reach the size of a small hen egg. The thin, outer covering changes from dark green to yellow, orange, red then black. Beneath this is the distinctive, ornate, brown woody structure (the endocarp) which contains 1 to 4 flat seeds.

Another recurring theme in my work seems to be the subliminal appearance of a menacing figure or the appearance of perspective making the viewer the menace. I use the wor 'menace' purely because a friend pointed this recurrence out to me and used the term menace. For want of a better term I could call it a kind of subtle threatening figure...

I´m sorry that it´s so plain. But it´s all about the text really. It´s almost exactly (minus some parts) how I and about one billion other people feel. That´s why I needed to make my own version of this. I really tried different brushes and stuff but they didn´t quite work out . So here it is in all it´s simplicity.

For quite a while I was thinking about depicting the word "vulnerable" and how to do it.
At the moment I am reading a thriller about devastating hurricanes, floods and extreme weather conditions all over the world and this book made me think about looking for a picture of our Earth taken from outer space to remind everyone about how vulnerable Mother Earth is.
We should treat her with much, much more respect than we have done before or we will all end up in a climate katastrophe!
...y el hombre-vulnerable renegado se hace silencio, rencor, tristeza, resentimiento, engaño, reúne en sí todos y cada uno de los atributos nefandos de la maldita soledad, de la muerte y de la nada, que abren el portillo de la vida a la depresión endógena;

The bobcat is an adaptable predator that inhabits wooded areas, as well as semidesert, urban edge, forest edge, and swampland environments. It remains in some of its original range, but populations are vulnerable to local extinction ("extirpation") by coyotes and domestic animals. Females raise their young, and they only stay with her until they are capable of hunting for themselves. Bobcats hunt by stalking and ambushing their prey; they sneak up on their prey and catch them with a single pounce. Bobcats mainly consume rabbits, geese, and hares, but during the winter months will sometimes kill a larger animal such as a deer. Once satisfied, the deer will then be buried for another feeding. Most bobcats have many different dens in their territory. They have a main den where they spend a majority of their time, as well as other dens where the bobcat can stay while patrolling its territory and hunting.
Bobcats are hunted as a sport, for their fur, and because they kill livestock. They are good climbers and like to prey on farm animals such as chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, and sheep. In order to try and protect the species and livestock, farmers can help by building higher fences or enclosures with a top cover to secure their animals’ safety.
Urbanization can result in the fragmentation of contiguous natural landscapes into patchy habitat within an urban area. Bobcats living in these fragmented areas often have reduced movement between the habitat patches, which can lead to reduced gene flow and a decrease in natural genetic diversity among bobcat populations.
Generally, Bobcats are more adaptable than other species, however in Rhode Island a decline in rabbits, squirrels and other small mammals have reduced the Bobcats food source. For bobcats, preserving open space in sufficient quantities and quality is necessary for population viability. Investment in land trust and local support of open spaces will help the survival of this species.

Story:
Who or what Ophthia is, is unknown. We follow a human like creature from Her first moments of self awareness through her brief life experiences, fruition and ultimate finale.
Photography:
Over 90% of Ophthia is photographed in camera on location. Ophthia is physically present in every scene. Her design is an amalgam of physical and photographic technique with minimal computer effect.
Ophthia is intended to be viewed in detail. There are many nuances to be experienced and discovered in each scene.
Ophthia is a progression of Chapters that capture Her brief life experiences in many perspectives. It is remarkable to discover the unique insight and depth imparted by photographing Her this way.
Ophthia is a labor of love for me and one that I plan to continually expand upon until Her finale.

I've been feeling very weird this last few days, like a strange feeling of stability but at the same time I feel very vulnerable. I feel like I'm making more mistakes without even notice it. I also feel like I'm changing... a lot
