Reindeer (Rangifer tarandus), aka caribou in North America, is a species of deer with circumpolar distribution, native to Arctic, sub-Arctic, tundra, boreal, and mountainous regions of northern Europe, Siberia, and North America. Both male and female reindeer grown antlers yearly, the males typically shed them after rut in the fall while the female retain their antlers through spring until the calves are born in May. Creature
Song by Jelly Roll
Lyrics
There's a monster under my bed
And at my window there's a dragon
I accepted the challenge
It turned me into a savage
I broke a promise to myself again
I don't know why I am so vulnerable
They try to help but I won't let them in
I guess rock bottom's where I'm comfortable
Both my feet planted when most people would've panicked
I embraced the storm, I found beauty in what was damaged
I'm not afraid of the boogieman
Instead, I look at him like he's a friend
There's not a monster out there in the world
That's scarier than the one that's within
There's a creature in my closet
I can hear him rumblin' 'round
The demons screamin' in the distance
Creates such a humblin' sound
The monster that's outside my window
He's like family to me now
The things that people are afraid of
Never let me down
Not a sadist, no
But I'm hated so
While religious freaks say I'm the biggest beast
And that I've made it grow
When I spray this flow
I created more
Creatures unlike when I heated the mic
I'm a breed of the night but I'm tainted though
By the darkness, I'm binded
I sparked it and shined it
They find it 'cause mine is whoa
For that, they labeled me a demon seed
Want to disable N9na, see him bleed
Hinder me fatally and see them greed, no-oh (chea)
You would not believe the creature inside me
If you deceive Khalifahs are lively
We disagree when people defy me
Or tryna take his
Whatever the fuckery taught him, you don't wanna break this
You forsake his
What is sacred?
Then it's over, no matter what your faith is
I'm a creature
There's a creature in my closet
I can hear him rumblin' 'round
The demons screamin' in the distance
Creates such a humblin' sound
The monster that's outside my window
He's like family to me now
The things that people are afraid of
Never let me down
Yeah, I managed to get myself in trouble, all of this pain
Yeah, I'm down and the double-dosin', liquor's always to blame
If I could keep myself sober, I'd keep my hands to myself
I take a shot and it's over, that's how I end up in Hell (I do)
I hope I don't pass it down to my offspring (yeah)
They get everything from their daddy, feel like I'm addicted to all things (yeah)
Yeah, there's no reason to change, gone too far now
And I'm stuck in my ways, back at the bar now
They said I'm a flirt and they right (yeah), I ain't perfect, aight? (Yeah)
So when I'm thirsty and perkin' and purposely searchin' for somethin'
It's hurtin' me so
I just get back up and go, I just back out of a show
That's how it go, I knock the back out a ho
And next night act I don't know (Okay)
I think they be laughin' at me, hands be grabbin' at me
Feel like God let it happen to me
That'd be blasphemy
And at least it be happenin' naturally (Okay, yeah)
I think I better let it go (Yeah)
Either that or I gotta let her know
And I can't do that
There's a creature in my closet
I can hear him rumblin' 'round
The demons screamin' in the distance
Creates such a humblin' sound
The monster that's outside my window
He's like family to me now
The things that people are afraid of
Never let me down

it’s in our frayed, raw places that the light shines through. vulnerability is a pathway to connection.
Just a day or two old, on a shoreline, alone, no defenses at all, against so many predators. I adore these little critters.

because there was another boar chasing him. The two had a surprise meeting, neither was aware of the other until they had visuals on each other.
The larger boar had been fishing in his favorite spot when this younger boar approached but the younger guy was quickly chased off and didn't go back.
It was amazing watching how fast this guy was moving.
Tim, Dana and I had been watching the situation unfold from our spot on the other side of the river and were almost expecting to see a physical confrontation but in actuality, we were glad things didn't go that way.
Bears don't go looking for fights. The last thing a bear wants to be in the wild is injured. That can sometimes end in a slow death, or maybe a quick one. But they don't want to do anything that makes them vulnerable so most of the time, they will avoid a physical altercation.
The motion blur in this is from in the camera. I didn't fake it up so to speak. My shutter speed was on the slow side (as you can see from my exif data).

Reportage street shot from a Disabled People Against Cuts protest outside of the Ministry of Defence building in Glasgow, Scotland, on 26th March 2025.
I think it's fair to say that the true measure of a society is on how it treats it's most vulnerable people.
Bearing in mind that any one of us can become disabled at any time through no fault of our own. The societal safety net that we all pay into during our lives is there for that very reason. To care for us if or when we are unable to care for ourselves.
We therefore owe it to ourselves to fight these welfare cuts, to put pressure on our MPs to vote against the changes. Don't just think about it, do it, let them know because one day it could be you that needs to depend upon them for survival.
Take care.
A ANTA é o maior mamífero terrestre do Brasil, está listada como VULNERÁVEL.
Esse é meu único registro que tenho desse lindo animal, que dá nome a esse local
A Anta estava em fuga, perseguida por cachorros...
The tapir was on the run, chased by dogs...
She managed to escape, but her cub did not.
Sadly, small animals and birds have suffered from persecution by dogs that are abandoned in the environmental park.
These dogs are natural hunters and are becoming a serious problem in the Brasília Mineral Water National Park.

Santa Marta Antpitta has a Conservation Status under the IUCN of Vulnerable www.iucnredlist.org/species/22703271/93914023
The Santa Marta Antpitta is, as the common name suggests, endemic to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in northern Colombia. Antpittas are normally highly secretive, but a number of places in their South American range are now known for the opportunity to sight these reclusive birds thanks to patient feeding programs. Such was the case here, where a ranger at a forestry station on San Lorenzo Ridge put out food to entice the bird briefly into the open for viewing by some grateful visitors. The second part of the scientific name of this species honours Richard Bangs, a zoologist from the USA who did pioneering field work in the Santa Marta region in the late 1800s.

The southern ground hornbill (Bucorvus leadbeateri) is one of two species of ground hornbill, both of which are found solely within Africa. They are carnivorous and hunt mostly on the ground. Their food ranges from insects to small vertebrates. Their nests are often found in high tree cavities or other shallow cavities, such as rock holes in cliff faces. These birds are a long-lived species, having lifespans in the range of 50–60 years, and up to 70 in captivity.

Snowy Albatross has a Conservation Status under the IUCN of Vulnerable
www.iucnredlist.org/species/22698305/132640680
Snowy Albatross is part of the Wandering Albatross complex — what was once treated as one species has been split into four. Snowy Albatross is a bird with very long wings, as expected. It is the southernmost breeder in the complex, with large breeding colonies (relatively speaking — not anything like the numbers of King Penguin for example) on South Georgia Island.
This sighting happened as we approached from the west, and occurred on the only day I saw the species. And what a sight! Truly humbling to witness such as example of wildlife in the senses of wild and free, roaming the untamed Southern Ocean and nesting on remote islands. (Though, not to put a damper on things, these magnificent birds still face hazards, among them fishing “bycatch” as it is euphemistically termed, invasive species, and climate warming. Snowy Albatross has a Conservation Status under the IUCN of Vulnerable.)
Homeless man.
In the beginning, people think vulnerability will make you weak, but it does the opposite. It shows you're strong enough to care.

This is a subadult Snowy Albatross, based on the white windows in the wings. It takes many years for individuals to develop the full white adult plumage.
A close look at this image shows beautiful black vermiculations on the back, wing bases, and rump/uppertail coverts.
This individual was seen in pelagic waters (where this and related species spend most of their lives apart from breeding) near South Georgia Island in a remote part of the South Atlantic Ocean.
This species is held by some sources to have the greatest wingspan of any living bird. Reports suggest it can reach some 3.7 metres (12 feet). Amazing, and clearly an advantage in their very extensive wanderings over the expanses of our planet’s southern oceans.
I read a story from animal rights activists about something that happened in my town. A cat, loved by the locals, was let inside a company building every evening so it wouldn’t have to be outside in the cold. One day, the cat didn’t show up in the evening because someone tortured it to death.
This is just an average story from the daily reality of animal protection. Hell is created by humans on Earth.
The photo shows a cat from a colony. These cats are neutered and fed.
The Dusky Pademelon or Dusky Wallaby is a species of marsupial in the family Macropodidae. It is a vulnerable species, which means the population is decreasing. It is found in the Aru and Kai islands and the Trans-Fly savanna and grasslands ecoregion of Papua Province of Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea.
