MH is starting to look a lot like the X-Men academy, don't you agree? XD
The water and fire effects were made in Photoshop, what do you guys think of the result?
Convincing or not?

The charming Vs of a starling's plumage are not in regular rows and not completely random. They're somewhere in-between that with a wonderful hint of rainbow glint. This one showed off its feathers beautifully this morning although it was a bit of a pity about the protruding twig.

This cow was obsessed with this egret. He already chased him off once but that bird is just as stubborn.

The Red Maple is so beautiful this year. The best I've seen since moving to Upstate, NY. I think the colours are the epitome of Autumn's elegance!
Week 9's challenge was a good exercise in seeing and not as easy as I expected. :-)

Seagulls become quite the challenge to the fishermen as they swoop down to steal their bait. Fishermen are patient with these birds and allow them to take a ride along with them
This gorgeous (and world famous) willow tree is on most photographer's bucket list if they're touring the South Island and it was on mine for my July trip. Then in March I heard the news that some mindless degenerate had attacked the tree with a saw and hacked off the branch that often dipped into the lake. However much of a cliche this shot may have become I was disgusted and equally disappointed that I'd never get my own version of it. I went there anyway to get what I could and this is the result. As far as I'm concerned the tree is still iconic and of course the backdrop that made it famous is still as spectacular as ever. I appreciate the Instagram made this scene both loved and hated around the world but I'd say this to the imbecile that damaged it...go and have a long hard look at yourself in the mirror mate...you've got issues!
The stark contrast between modern architecture featuring building materials such as steel and glass and traditional religious architecture featuring stone and religious icons became evident during a bike ride. The National Gallery of Canada is located near to the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
