This is one of the most historic elections in history it would be a shame to not be part of it by not voting.

The NHS is a truly massive organisation treating and caring for thousands of people per day.
The NHS was born out of a long-held ideal that good healthcare should be available to all, regardless of wealth. At its launch by the then minister of health, Aneurin Bevan, on 5 July 1948, it had at its heart three core principles:
- That it meet the needs of everyone
- That it be free at the point of delivery
- That it be based on clinical need, not ability to pay
I accept that the NHS will get criticised for failure at times. Any organisation that has to deliver so much over the whole nation will get it wrong at times.
Having worked in other countries that have no such service, only private expensive healthcare, and where the communities outlook on life in general would be felt as misplaced or downright immoral to us in the UK, I feel the general public shouldn't be too influenced by the all-to-easy sound bites of a critical media we have in this country.
What the future holds for the service under the current and future political direction is another matter...
