Tuesday, May 05, 2015 - Fort McMurray, Alberta - Wildrose leader Brian Jean casts his ballot on election day for the Alberta Provincial Election on May 5th in Fort McMurray.

Since I never received my vote by mail ballot, I needed to go to the polling place at the Desert Hot Springs senior center, where I waited approx 40 minutes to cast my ballot.

Reading thru some legal material in taking photos in polling places, I may have broken the law. Most of the rules regarding photography seem to keep voters from being harrased or coerced while voting, and since this a shot of the line for getting your ballot and not of people actually filling in the ballot, I am thinking I did not violate those provisions.

Get off the computer and GO VOTE.

This has been a public service announcement.

So here's my little sticker from having my voice heard this fine morning in the USA! So now it's a 24 hour news cycle and lots of coffee today! ;D

I had a bunch of photos on my phone that I hadn't uploaded to flickr. Stupid phone doesn't embed the date the photos were taken so I think this may be a bit out of order. I hope the iPhone can do better when I get one in the future.

Waited in line 30 minutes to vote. Never waited more than 5 minutes before.

I was glad to see people excited about voting. I just wish they were this excited every time.

I voted today. 24OCT12

A year ago it was Primary Election Day in Michigan. We walked downtown and voted. Thus today's photo.

Kitty corner across the street from Mulliken's polling place is the clubhouse of the Brothers of the Ring Motorcycle Club. A year ago I posted a photo of a couple bikes parked in front of the club.

This photograph is an outtake from my 2024 photo-a-day project, 366 in 2024.

Number of project photos taken: 3

Title of folder: Primary Day

Other photos taken on 8/6/2024: Dann--our contractor--stopped by and painted our bathroom's new walls. I took seven iPhone pics of the results.

I voted, but my polling place did not have stickers. So I made my own. : )

A perfect fit. I don't vote early or often, but when I vote, I always take a camera.

We voted today. I had to vote early since I'm taking Tuesday off to help get out the vote for my man Barack.

If you have not already seen it, you have to check out the hockey mom for Obama video. Good stuff.

With the polls for Godrick's Hollow Mayor closing in just a couple hours, Emrys and Stella make their way over to cast their own votes. Of course he spends the trip making dumb jokes about having a party fund if she's elected, and being her official bodyguard.

Vote America be sure and vote, remember all the Veterans who served our Country so you have this privilege

We didn't get any "I voted" stickers, so I snapped this instead.

Bureau de vote - Polling station

Just voted after getting out of work this morning, and there were NO lines! Nice.

Note: I didn't vote for Bob Barr, the Libertarian candidate, because he's not a Libertarian.. He's a damn Republican. :(

I miss having a candidate like Michael Badnarik or Harry Browne to vote for..
