The scene was illuminated by two Nikon SB900 speedlights and a steady LED cube. The SB900s were positioned CL (at subject) and CR (at background), and fired in Manual mode @ ⅛ - power through Neewer 24" soft boxes. The LED cube was placed overhead with a blue green gel.
The SB900s were triggered by PocketWizard Plus Xs.
Lens: Pentacon Auto 50mm/f1.8 with a 12mm extension tube attached.

Looking through a pipeline bridge in New Norfolk. I had to hold the camera above my head to get this shot - wasn't sure how it would turn out. I was hoping the shallow focus would add 'something'. I just wish the camera focused on the yellow leaf just beyond the focus point.
My imagination almost makes me wish this were part of the Death Star, as viewed from an X-wing flying through it.

La nuova ruota panoramica di Genova colora il porto poco dopo il tramonto, purtroppo la zona scelta per l'installazione non è delle migliori a livello fotografico, dal momento che non si riesce ad avere una visuale libera o un riflesso sull'acqua, ma la nuova attrazione meritava comunque uno scatto
Cwmorthin Quarry is a slate quarry west of the village of Tanygrisiau, north Wales. Quarrying on the site started in 1810. In 1860 it was connected to the Ffestiniog Railway. In 1900 it was acquired by the nearby Oakeley Quarry and the two were connected underground. In 1970 it closed along with Oakeley. There was small scale working in the 1980s and 1990s, the mine finally closed in 1997. 2/2 [Explored]
Fujifilm X-Pro1; edited in Silver Efex Pro3. Ceramic vase made by Eleni O'Hara in the early 1970s. The object to me has a threatening quality and comes across as a relentless hoover tormenting me with the fear of my memories being sucked into a void and disappearing forever.
Ho comprato un nuovo accessorio per trapano. Una spazzola più cilindrica della precedente. Lo scopo era quello di ottenere dei cerchi concentrici di colore e non la miriade di goccioline. Uffa! E' dipeso dalla densità del colore?

"Non è facile riuscire a descrivere il tipo di sensazioni che produce tutto questo groviglio in cui mi trovo ora.
Dovrei porre a premessa che il loro rivelarsi alla mia sensibilità non avvenne in un particolare istante, ma s’irradiò maestoso volta dopo volta, diventando unica ricorrente esperienza globale di anima e corpo.
E che nel corso degli anni ho imparato ad affrontare con ragionevole ottimismo il superamento di ogni nuova cateratta che opponevo allo scorrere della fiumana.
L’impeto degli eventi sempre più ha gonfiato i suoi muscoli lavorando sui millimetri della mia acquiescenza complice e raggiungendo anfratti inesplorati e nascosti, avviluppandomi nella sua tensione centripeta e sparpagliandomi con la sua occasionale necessità centrifuga.
Da un certo punto in poi riesco eventualmente a intuire il definirsi liberatorio di una volontà chiara e consapevole: essere vibrazione attiva di un vortice assoluto; partecipare ai fervori di un’effervescenza irriducibile, per condurre i miei sensi all’apogeo e per liberare il mio corpo dalle occlusioni mentali e reali..."

All I could see was a giant vortex, but reality is, the tide is out on a small cove. Or at least that would be my guess. It was still awesome to stumble across.

Moscow, new district.
All you can do is just keep your head to the sky and say wow.
I wanted to play with Snapseed.
So in the next few photos, taken with the phone, you'll see some tricky post-production. Anyway, the weather was perfect, the light amazing and the buildings too.
Enjoy this non-touristic new district.
I'm so upset for not having my camera with me, because it broke some weeks ago in Lapland and I have to wait until June to be back in Italy and be able to fix it (I hope). I'll try to take some pictures with my phone and bring you with me in this trip. Hope you enjoy!
