Coral Short asked to curate my work in a garden exhibition after finding my work tagged "craftivism" on Twitter.
I have made 6 cobweb doilies and 3 lace covered NZ river stones for the show.
Influenced by traditional doily making, lace work, crochet, and Voronoi tesselations.......order and chaos.

Black Snow Voronoi I
An installation on invitation by

Steiner minimal tree's are randomly formed and fall by SL physics gravity randomly onto eachother into a 20x20x20 white cube. Thus making a self organizing structure wich is constantly different by coincidence but keeps it's Voronoi properties.
Snow Voronoi II
An installation on invitation by

for CARP at Diabolous
opening on 07 04 2010.
Altitude 3700m.

In my effort to crocheted one km of crochet cotton I have crocheted lace around NZ river stones. Made by Jeni Little.
Playing with the Hemesh and Convex Hull by Lee Byrons library. Starting Point is the Hemesh Voronoi example. The voronoi cells are subdivided and then slices of the vertices are sent to the convex hull algorithm.
They are abviously inspired by jtnimoys awesome work for the tron movie.

image is divided into 3 layers based on the brightness value of pixles, and canvas is divided into 50 X 50 big grids, each grid is further divided into 3 X 3 small grids, points are randomly scattered into these small grids according the brightness of the big grids, with the principle that more darkness ,more points are given.

The living room showcases iconic pieces that demonstrate Newson’s innovative use of materials and processes. The limited edition Lockheed Lounge (1988), made of fiberglass and covered with aluminum sheets riveted together, is one of his most recognized works and was featured in Madonna’s 1993 music video for “Rain.” Also included in the living room will be hisPod of Drawers (1987), similarly faced with riveted aluminum; the Super Guppy Lamp (1987), inspired by a Japanese street lamp; a marble Voronoi Low Shelf (2007), cut into a pattern based on the diagrams of nineteenth-century Russian mathematician Georgy Voronoi; and a sofa made entirely of nickel.
