The Snow Voronoi was filmed and on display at Biennale Internationale de Design de Saint-Etienne, France.
A design entry which ran alongside the submission brief, Room For London on the South bank, London. Design and overseen to meet requirements, my final submission is as seen below:
A Voronoi diagram is a special kind of decomposition of a metric space determined by distances to a specified discrete set of objects in the space, e.g. by a certain set of points. This computational geometric algorithm leads to a ease of three dimensional forms, therefore introduces an efficiency in computer-aided design and also into manufacturing. The resulting modules consequently fit perfectly one on to another, with no geometric errors, they facilitate easy handling, rapid assembling or dissembling and reuse.
Phase 1_ Spacial breakdown of mathematical cells to form new geometric organization.
Phase 2_ Site specific subtraction from current sun path to allow maximum natural daylight.
Phase 3_ Entrance adjacent to River Thames.
Phase 4_ Main vistas over looking the city from both the lounge and bedroom.
Phase 5_ Interior function subtracted from external elements to provide a cohesive and efficient interior layout.
Snow Voronoi II
An installation on invitation by
Josina Burgess & Velasques Bonetto
for CARP at Diabolous
opening on 07 04 2010.
Altitude 3700m.
Steiner minimal tree's are randomly formed and fall by SL physics gravity randomly onto eachother into a giant 2000 prim structure. Thus making a self organizing structure wich is constantly different by coincidence but keeps it's Voronoi properties.
Snow Voronoi Wall at LEA 9. A wall ( 16 x 256 x 256 ) made with physical Random Steiner tree structures by SL gravity.
While watching Game of Thrones, I have been encapsulating NZ river stones and schist. No two are the same.
We are back!!!!
This is a screenshot from the new g_nome website.
The project was developed by g_nome team at DRL.
Check the web page at www.gnome-netlab.com for more information about the project.
Plots the pixels nearest a numbered point, but this time uses straight line distance. Much less interesting!

Coral Short asked to curate my work in a garden exhibition after finding my work tagged "craftivism" on Twitter.
I have made 6 cobweb doilies and 3 lace covered NZ river stones for the show.
Influenced by traditional doily making, lace work, crochet, and Voronoi tesselations.......order and chaos.
The red and black
molecules are water and the lattice "cage" is the polydisperse
Voronoi Tesselation. This shows a conserved molecular volume which
depends on the system.

I have crocheted around each stone or pebble with a unique one of a kind pattern.
The stone/pebble has the most say on how a piece looks due to the special tensions around the form.
