The VooDoo Kreeper created by VooDoo Larry started life as a 1953 Chevy, but has been modified heavily with parts from many different cars and manufacturers. It is now truly a unique creation that defies categorization.
Looking down the throat of the flower of the Voodoo Lily (Amorphophallus konjak). It exudes an odor not dissimilar to rotting meat in order to attract flies for polination. the entire plant is over six feet tall. The bloom only lasts for about seven days and then wilts.

Yes this Spanish Moss is growing and alive covering this fence on an East Texas backroad!!! Spanish Moss is often draped on chain link fences to create privacy. Spanish Moss grows well in full sun but endures partial shade. It prefers moist environments 50 to 90ºF but can survive well in dry habitats too. Spanish Moss is usually found on oaks or cypress trees — it likes the chemicals that leach from the trees’ bark — but can be found on other species such as pine or sweet gum. Other uses for Spanish Moss include: Lids for cooking pots, emergency blankets, insulation, mixed with clay to strengthen plaster, used to fire pots, used in tanning and to skim scum off cooking liquids, fiber woven into floor mats, to make string, rope and sacks, fire arrows to destroy invaders’ forts, doll decorations and Voodoo doll stuffing. It can be soaked — a natural sponge — and used as a covering to keep things from drying too fast, such as dug out canoes. It also makes excellent mulch and the water it is boiled in is excellent fertilizer. Even has been made into a Spanish Moss Horse Blanket!!! Spanish Moss usually doesn't harm the tree host. Regarding red bugs and chiggers, microscopic irritations said to live on Spanish Moss. They might inhabit Spanish Moss but to be utterly frank I have never gotten chiggers from Spanish Moss in trees. I have handled it and been in it many times over the decades and not once have I gotten chiggers from Spanish Moss from trees. You can, however, get chiggers from Spanish Moss on the ground. When I do get chiggers I smother them with clear fingernail polish. Yes, it stings and yes it works. Now, what of Spanish Moss?

Using a No.31 Squadron call-sign, 'Voodoo 22', aka Royal Air Force Panavia Tornado GR.4 ZG779/136 turns downwind in RAF Marham's circuit prior to landing after a sortie out West
With only a couple of years to go until their retirement, the GR.4 version of the 1980's MRCA (Multi-Role Combat Aircraft) or 'Tonka' as it became known has been active in the two Gulf Wars and more and are currently deployed from Cyprus against the Forces of evil which regularly blight our way of life.
The Ground Attack (GR) versions have outlived the Air Defence Variant derivative, the F.2/F.3 ADV's and will be replaced by the F-35 Lightning II, a stealthier based single-seat, single-engined fighter built in the US by Lockheed-Martin with input from various other entities including UK based BAE Systems.
These long-awaited F-35's which will equip both the RAF and the Navy's Fleet Air Arm - the latter aboard our two new Aircraft Carriers coming into service 'soon'.

31 sqn Tornados Voodoo 1 & 2 taxy out from their HAS area at Marham. The upside of the main runway 04/26 being closed for resurfacing is that the tonkas have to taxy round to the bottom of runway 01/19 and backtrack, bringing them nice and close.

To ward off evil spirits, shake this doll and ring her Tibetan brass bells. More powerful than garlic without the stink. Handmade out of twigs from Hurricane Irma debris, a re-worked doll head from a thrift store, hemp twine, brass Tibetan bells, brass chains, rope, black cloth, and real bones in her pocket (of those who doubted her power!).
Developed a roll from my trip to Oregon last year, testing out my new scanner at 1200dpi color negative.
