St. Peter’s Church Cemetery (Petersfriedhof): The beautiful St. Peter's Cemetery is where the Von Trapps hid from Nazis in The Sound of Music although the actual scene was filmed in Hollywood. St. Peter's Cemetery serene, pansy-filled grounds may just be the most peaceful stop in all of Salzburg. This unique cemetery is said to be from 700AD, still holds a headstone from 1288AD, has its own waterfall, and also holds the remains of Mozart's sister Maria Ann.
The VonTrapp family can have the old curtains, they're down in the basement just waiting to be made into play clothes
Day 40-Today I went to a special screening of this movie. I went with my Mum b/c she wanted to see it and I am so happy I did. I had seen it before but like many of the movies I see special screenings of, it makes s much more for the art on the big screen. Def a classic and I actually knew most all the songs...:)
