The Sound of Music is a 1965 film starring Julie Andrews and is.about the Von Trapp family. It was adapted from the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical of the same name and was itself based on the book "The Story of the Trapp Family Singers" by Maria von Trapp. It was filmed in Salzburg, Austria: Bavaria in Germany and the 20th Century Fox studios in California. This photo was taken from a cow - one of many cows to be seen in various forms as works of art around the city. Salzburg, Austria August 2007
St Peter's Cemetery (Petersfriedhof) in Salzburg. Mozart's sister Nannerl is buried here and the von Trapp family hid here when they were on the run after a concert for the Germans.
The Baroque styled fountain in Residence Platz (near the Cathedral) was built from locally mined marble. It is one of many locations seen in the film "The Sound of Music" which was filmed here. Salzburg, Austria August 2007.

I'm Brittany and I made this skirt from Burda 8155, which is a great pencil skirt pattern. I used a Vera Wang floral brocade that looks a little like curtains, but I like it anyway :)
