I took this photo on 31 August 2006 – I shouldn't like to try this now 😳
The We're Here! group has visited the Void Your Warranty group today.
The Void
Second in a series
Shoot inspired by this vintage baby carriage that my neighbors were going to throw away. I always like to put things to good use before they need to be retired.

void loop ( ) consists of three automated systems that continuously feed paper into repurposed dot matrix printers and business shredders via looped programs. Each printer communicates with its physical environment through a micro controller that converts sensory data into printed image. The monotonous actions of the printers, running on loops (input-output-repeat), parallel the cyclical structures of all living systems: the material world, the human body, consciousness, time. The loop repeats nothing that is the same. The loop repeats nothing that is the same. The loop repeats nothing that is the same.
"Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry"~Bruce Banner..
A gorgeous autumn leaf..crisp and dry..almost void of all signs of life..but boy did that dying leaf stand out amongst the background of the Fall sunset. The tearing away of the leaf combined with the brilliant colors shining through it reminded me of the Incredible Hulk..and pretty close to how I feel when you make me really angry..another life lesson to be had..and another glimpse into my world! I did kick up the saturation when editing the shot..and toned down the brightness too so that the glow could really stand out..that's it!
Blank Space.
Yashica E35 GSN. Kodak 200.
My first roll, apparently the result is not so good. Still i like this shot.
It's like the moon, and then another moon right next to it excepted flipped so they make a mirror image..
(or something like that)
of everything . . . an empty day lacking of creativity. . . ah well all things must have balance I guess :)

A array of triangles is placed on the floor, each one has a LED strip on the back which are connected to an Arduino. On MAX, series of random numbers generators and different probabilities trigger a signal to each triangle, making it turn on or off. Max communicates with the Arduino through Maxuino.
At the same time that a triangle is triggered a MIDI message is sent to Ableton Live and plays notes on a MIDI Instrument and an OSC message is sent to Processing for the Visual output.
Following versions will explore new possibilities as different shapes and materials, and interactions with the visitors through sensors.
